    larue stealth on way

Re: larue stealth on way I would have to agree. I have 3 stealth uppers and 0 stealth lowers. The lowers look great, but did not seem worth a price premium when there is no accruacy or reliability to be gained.

.223 brass won't fit in shell holder

Re: .223 brass won't fit in shell holder I had this happen on one of my RCBS shell holders. I had two others that didn't have the problem, so I tossed the bad one.

Anyone store powder, primers, ammo in gun safe?

Re: Anyone store powder, primers, ammo in gun safe? Let me throw out a counter point that does not apply to most. My ammo is worth more than my rifles, even though I bought it years ago when it was really cheap. The odds of theft are greater than fire. When I consider these two points, I...

    location for gun safe

Re: location for gun safe I went with 3 smaller safes rather than one heavier one. They were easier to get upstairs that way, and spread the load across more surface area. The ammo in them weights more than the safes themselves. Still plenty of room for rifles. All of them are bolted to...

Rifle Scopes ACOG for precision rifle work...

Re: ACOG for precision rifle work... I thought I should add, I have a Dr Optics, and IMO it is a waste of money, and does not add any speed even at very close range. It takes more consious thought to rotate and refocus of the DR Optics, than just giving the BAC a few more milliseconds to focus.

Rifle Scopes ACOG for precision rifle work...

Re: ACOG for precision rifle work... For a SHTF rifle when you already have a AW, I would say an ACOG with BAC is about perfect. With some practice, it will get almost as fast as a red dot up close, and past 200 yards, it will be better than a red dot. I have 3 aimpoints, 2 ACOGs, and 2...

Cheap and fine grit corn cob media find.

Re: Cheap and fine grit corn cob media find. I got some in and used it for the first time the other day, and was very disappointed. After vibrating the brass for more than 12 hours, it still need much more cleaning. If you buy this, it will need some additives to clean anything like the...

    Reloading for 9mm

Re: Reloading for 9mm I load 9mm, 5.56, .308, and 300WM all on a single stage press. I load about 200 9mm per week. It does take a while, but I think it is far easier to load 9mm than any rifle load. My current favorite load is: 124gr FMJ 4.1gr Titegroup 1.14 OAL Try it, you will...

    Optics or training?

Re: Optics or training? I agree with the last two posts the most. There is nothing wrong with professional training if you can afford it, but those skills indeed perish if you do not also train very regularly. A good amount of training ammo and time is always going to be required to...
