    Thought I would share a couple of mine as well, right after duracoating. Tikka T3 .308. Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP, Roedale precision bolt handle, AI magazine. Ken farrel base and rings. RPS bipod.

    Thanks for the photos. I haven't got my new scope yet, but I tested the mount, and the ejection port definitely needs lowering. It looks like you've also flared it a little at the front. Is that correct? How did you go about the lowering? What kind of tool did you use?

    It definitely protects your firearm. Other than that, have you tried putting a small heater where you keep the guns? That could also help prevent condensation and the forming of rust. Another option is to cover the weapon in a light layer of gun oil when you leave it in the safe.

    Have you seen your friends results? I am running a 155 grs bullet in .308 at around 2850 in a 26" barrel in the same temperature. This is quite a hot load. I think a 178grs bullet in a .308 would be closer to 2500-2600 fps. Still, it would depend on what you're shooting at. If you don't need...
