    Re: Leupold 6.5-20x50 for long range shooting? User preferance is the main answer for this question. I like to use the 6.5-20 leupy or 5.5-22 in NF's. Some people use more or less power. When mirage is bad it is hard to get past 15-18 power sometimes. Shoot it and see what you like. Mike

    Re: Anyone shooting 190 gr out of 308? Yes it in a 308win. It is close to a max load for my rifle but the brass is fine. I have fired the brass with this load 4-5 time so far. RL-17 is good stuff for the heavy bullets, less pressure than RL-15 or Varget. Mike

    Re: Anyone shooting 190 gr out of 308? I shoot 190 berger VLD's from a 1:12 twist hart barrel with good results. I use Lapua brass and 47.5grn of RL-17 @ 2710 fps in 85 degree weather.
