Wet Mounting Scope Mounts - Where It All Started

Just a set of rings. It's been 3-4 years ago now. Probably a freak one off failure.

Wet Mounting Scope Mounts - Where It All Started

I've seen nightforce rings seperate at the bottom of the screw holes in the ring caps. Cap popped right off. The screws held though.

    300 WM brass destroyed.

I'm already pretty heavily invested in the winmag. One $65 die isn't a deal breaker at this point. I will concede though, if someone is fresh getting into a magnum 30, the prc is probably the way to go.

    300 WM brass destroyed.

Cortina makes a mandrel die that sizes the base also. I emailed them as a 300winmag die wasn't listed, and they said one is in the works by popular demand. I'll probably pick one up when they're available. I've heard about the collet die, but if I can hit the base and mandrel in one step, all...

    Dasher in an R700?

Hopefully some more people chime in on this. I've got a 700 myself that I have planned to spin up a 6BRA for. I had a 700 in 223 that I barreled up for 300blk when 300blk was just getting going good. It never would eject a fired case. Same problem the op is having. About halfway out the...

Wet Mounting Scope Mounts - Where It All Started

This is kind of an extreme example but it gives you an idea on lubed vs unlubed fasteners.

Wet Mounting Scope Mounts - Where It All Started

I don't get real carried away with it, but I always wipe the underside of my actions down with oil before I put them in the stock/chassis.

Wet Mounting Scope Mounts - Where It All Started

The grease isn't taking up space. It lowers the friction on mating surfaces allowing a tighter clamping force. It makes sense if you look at it from a torque perspective. I had to take torque training for work yay long time ago and the difference between lubed and unlubed fasteners and the...

    Arming the left.

As Rio precision pointed out above, there are plenty on our side on the same drugs. What's truly frightening is the total amount of the population that are on those drugs.

    Arming the left.

Yep. Local cop told our LGS owner just that during the vid. He said when push comes to shove they're the ones signing his check so he'd do what he was told. The shop owner told him thanks for the info and he'd better not see him coming first. Working construction I've met several ex service...

Some real winners in this one. I was bored at work last night so I watched it. Don't judge me.

Q Getting Rekt - Silencer Drama

I ditched my 300blk upper for a ruger ranch. Dumped three pigs sitting in a deer stand from 50 to 150 yards shooting handloaded 190 subx. We had deer down every right of way around the stand. One pig was standing about 10 yards from a doe when I shot it. None of the deer even flinched. The doe...

I'm in the same boat. About a three hour ride for me. And then there's my work schedule. I've contemplated it, just haven't committed to it yet.

45 vs 355 For Pit Bull Defense

I was told one time by a guy that ran a lot of pits for catch dogs hunting pigs that a finger up the rear end would make them turn loose every time. Apparently, amidst all the fury of squealing pigs, dogs and trying to stab the pig, he'd gotten in-between some of the dogs and their intended...

    Look at my brass.

You know, I had forgotten all about that. This was once fired through a friend's 700 5r and his chamber is about .010" shorter than mine. I resized it through my die but I'm sure it's still short.
