    6.8 SPC is confusing

Re: 6.8 SPC is confusing The bullet was the major issue and it was the only bullet to exhibit this problem. And because a certain company invested heavily in the bullets, they decided to "update" the spec. Yes, added velocity was the benefit but at the cost of accuracy...that being said...

    6.8 SPC is confusing

Re: 6.8 SPC is confusing Because most 6.8 SPC guns are magazine fed, you have limits on the bullet seating depth. With a 0.050" freebore, the bullet has a smaller "jump" to get to the lands. If it was a bolt gun, the 0.050" freebore difference between SAAMI and SPC II wouldn't matter because...

    6.8 SPC is confusing

Re: 6.8 SPC is confusing SAAMI SPC has a freebore of 0.050", SPC II has a longer freebore (.100). SAAMI SPC is more accurate so if you're not shoot SSA's "tactical" rounds, then you don't need SPC II. The real story (not the marketing BS) behind why SPC II came about is interesting...

    Stainless Steel Media Testimonials

Re: Stainless Steel Media Testimonials I just did a fairly heavy load...1/2 the container filled with water before I added the cases and media and then 1000 rounds of 9mm cases (plus media, soap, Lemishine). I ran it for 3 hours (I have a high speed model) and the motor was warm, but not hot...

    Stainless Steel Media Testimonials

Re: Stainless Steel Media Testimonials So I did my first batch tonight...a mix of 308 and 9mm brass. Most of the brass was already clean to a certain extent. They were either once fired or already cleaned brass (using a vibratory cleaner with corn cob media). Water, a good "squirt" of Dawn...

Rifle Scopes S&B Customer Service........HOLY CRAP!!!!!!

Re: S&B Customer Service........HOLY CRAP!!!!!! I too can confirm S&B's EXCELLENT customer service. I had a Short Dot that had the "drifting" dot problem after about a year mounted my training carbine (a fairly well abused Colt 6921). A week or so after they received my scope, I got one...

Rifle Scopes Counter Sniper scopes Review/Test

Re: Counter Sniper scopes Review/Test Sorry, I had to bump this. How does a company like this can stay in business? I saw these at SHOT and I can't believe that any partially cognisant human being with at least a pre-school education could buy into their...ummm..."marketing".
