    6.5 Grendel barrel suggestions

    I have an 18” Rainier “Match”. I don’t have but 40 rounds through it but it’s shot really good groups from the start. Well worth the $260 price tag so far. Next time I put it on paper I’ll post some groups. I have a couple of the Craddock RTR barrels on the way. We’ll see how they do.

    Barrel for a short DMR

    I’ve had good luck with a 1-8 twist Lothar Walther 16”, 223 Wylde with polygonal rifling. No experience with Wilson Combat 223 wylde barrels but have used one of their barrels on a Grendel build with satisfactory results. I’ve had hit or miss results with Ballistic Advantage.

    LaRue MTB 2S vs Geissele SD-C

    I have both. Both are nice. I had an SSA-E that went bad on me. Second stage wall completely went away and it was unsafe. Geissele took care of it without question. Never had an issue with any of my Larue or Schmid 2 stage triggers. I’ll keep buying the Larue and Schmid triggers over the Geisseles.

    I have 1 10rd Elander that works. Every ASC and Duramag I’ve bought has worked in all of my Grendels and 6ARC before it was converted back to Grendel.

    I shot this 20 round group with one of the 18” Armalites BCP linked. Shots marked 4, 14, 15, 16, & 17 were out of a new box of ammo from a different lot. I needed 5 to fill a 20 round mag.

    Colt 6920 OEM2’s can be bought for $799. That leaves $500 for a handguard, stock, and whatever else. Clyde Armory has pallets of them. ETA: They have barely used LMT defender 2000 police trade ins for a grand.
