    Ridgeline shooting at a mile with the black arc and the lrsu guy hitting the milk jug at 1500 with 77gr hand loads. I guess if you want box ammo go for it but the hand loaded 77’s performed well too.

    Never owned an 18” rifle gas 5.56 barrel that would run anything heavier than a standard carbine spring with an H buffer. How big is the port in that barrel?

    You didn’t ask me but the 2 18” Grendel RTR’s I have don’t string when they get hot. They handle heat as well as any other spr profile barrel I have.

    If you’re short stroking an adjustable gas block is a waste of money. You need more gas, you don’t want to restrict it.

    The 77gr AAC otm sucks for putting down yotes. This one took one straight on in the chest at 180 yards and then took 3 more before she gave up the ghost.     Button rifled barrels open up with a 1/2x28 muzzle. Hammer forged barrels sometimes get tighter. 5/8x24 should have been the standard long ago.
