Rifle Scopes getting all your moa etc

Re: getting all your moa etc I would say don't worry about the windage not being centered unless it is way different on the left and right.

Speed up your .308 Reloading Process

Re: Speed up your .308 Reloading Process Chamfering doesn't seem like that big a deal to me. I feel like I get consistent neck tension by not having little burs on the inside of the case mouth. Am I missing something? Appreciate the tip though.

    M1A or HK 91

Re: M1A or HK 91 Thanks for the info Ghostface. I have the B@T, and I am able to see the irons right over the rail if I remove the optic, but I am unable so far to make the buffer work with it. Do you feel the aimpoint limits your capabilities with the 91? I have had a comp m2 on mine for...

Rifle Scopes getting all your moa etc

Re: getting all your moa etc I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Are you asking us how to sight in the rifle after bore sighting?

bullet grouping question @ 100 and 300 yards?????

Re: bullet grouping question @ 100 and 300 yards?? My LTR .308 usually shoots better at 300-400yds than it does at 100yds with 168gr. SMK. By this I mean smaller MOA wise, not actually smaller groups.

    M1A or HK 91

Re: M1A or HK 91 Ghost: Is that a B@T mount on your 91? Good job getting the buffer and the low profile scope mount on there at the same time. The buffer on the HK takes care of the "beating up the brass issue", but it will still throw brass about 25'. I have not shot or handled an M1 so...

Rifle Scopes I need a new optic for my AR

Re: I need a new optic for my AR Could you guys with an acog educate us a little bit. Is there something about an acog that makes it better than a conventional scope for low light? I know the field of view is very wide.

    Rifle Scopes CQB Optic?

Re: CQB Optic? Vulcan I think you are right on. I have had an aimpoint on my HK91 for a long time now, and it just sits on the shelf. I think if I had a more versatile optic, I might shoot it more often.

    Bullet selection question

Re: Bullet selection question I have a 1:12 twist Rem .308 LTR 20" barrel. It shoots awesome with 168 gr. matchkings, but I can't get it to shoot any Noslers well. I have tried 125 gr BT, 165 grain BT, and 165 gr. Accubonds. All group over 1" at 100, yet the 168 gr matchkings are always...

    Sierra Game Kings?

Re: Sierra Game Kings? They are very accurate for a hunting bullet. Myself, though, I would probably not go through so much time and expense to work up a load, and then change bullets. I would try to pick the bullet you think will be the best for you, and then concentrate on that one. You...

Rifle Scopes Aimpoint on an HK-93. Which base?

Re: Aimpoint on an HK-93. Which base? I sold my ARMS claw mount because it was too tall for my tastes. It was very well made and repeatable on/off, but just too tall. I now have the B&T and I really like it. Mine is low enough to see over the rail to use the irons if you remove the scope.

Re: aimpoint comp fuzzy to me only Thanks for the advice, all. I think it is definitely my eyes. I'll get them checked.

    feedback

Re: feedback Yes, thanks very much. I guess you just have to search this thread to find a good guy. Maybe not as good as a rating system on every transaction, but certainly better than nothing! How often to people get burned by a "bad guy" on here? I would guess not very often.

Rifle Scopes Optice choice? mil/mil or moa/moa

Re: Optice choice? mil/mil or moa/moa I too am thinking about a scope upgrade. I really appreciate all of the advice. It seems that the MOA/MOA options are more plentiful and cheaper for a used NF, am I right? I agree with using the same system as your shooting partner so you can be on the...

    Rifle Scopes Your opinon on...

Re: Your opinon on... Not a fan of the reflex at all. I agree that the reticle has bad washout. I have an astigmatism problem, so aimpoints don't work for me as well. I suggest that you be sure and look through anything you plan to buy first to make sure it works for <span...

Rifle Scopes cleaning fingerprints off glass

Re: cleaning fingerprints off glass I have used acetone on Takahashi and Televue large objective refractors and it works well. Recommended by Televue. I use tissues instead of q-tips, but either is ok.
