    Show me your blades!

The ZT0560 is excellent. It's a tank of a knife, and very large but totally carry-able. The build quality of mine is superb. The Benchmade HK Snody 142xx knives are similar to the Benchmade Stryker, but I like the blade shape and scales on mine better. I carry the 14210 more than any in my...

    Atlas bipod

The Atlas spikes are excellent. They help with loading if the ground is soft, and also grip on many other hard surfaces like rock. Plus you can stab them into a stump or log if needed.

Pack / rifle carrier for big guys

I put rubber tubing on my spikes. Worked great until I lost the tube... I'll have to look more closely at the GS scabbard. Muzzle down is ok without my can, but the pack is too top heavy with the added length. Probably the same issue your buddy had.

Pack / rifle carrier for big guys

Butt down? I tried that with an AI and it didn't work at all. Carry was one reason I dumped my quick cuff sling. The quick adjust on the TAB is what makes it carry well

Pack / rifle carrier for big guys

Yeah, I was at the Kettle Falls match too, and ran an X3 Lo-Drag. It's a pain in the ass to keep taking the gun in and out of the scabbard at each stage, so unless I'm hiking a long way in rough terrain I just sling it across my back, muzzle down, so it rides on the side of my pack. The key is a...

Is the Geiselle SSA-E a versatile trigger?

I have SSA-E's on two lowers, and a SD3G on another one. The SD3G is Geissle's gamer trigger, with a light single stage break and a very short reset. I have found I prefer the SSA-E for all uses, including multigun competitions.

Rifle Scopes Quick Comparison: ACOG TA-11J vs. Elcan SpecterDR *PIC HEAVY*

CC, you might have more fruitful discussions if you didn't insult anyone who disagrees with you. I'm sure you have experience that might be helpful, but it's a mistake to underestimate the experience and capabilities of others.

Rifle Scopes Quick Comparison: ACOG TA-11J vs. Elcan SpecterDR *PIC HEAVY*

Huh. I must have the only DR that holds up to high round count and has no POI shift ;-)

Rifle Scopes Quick Comparison: ACOG TA-11J vs. Elcan SpecterDR *PIC HEAVY*

Thanks for posting this comparison, Luke. From what I've experienced and read, the newer Elcans do not have the problems some of the earlier ones did. My Specter DR holds zero and does not have a significant shift between 1 and 4x. I have not treated my unit gently. I don't agree with CC that...

Rifle Scopes S&B.. NF.. where to put the money on first really high end glass???

I'm very happy with my S&B PM II MSR. It's very hard to go back to my Leupold Mk 4.

    Ar trigger?

It may be helpful to learn to shoot a GI trigger well. If he upgrades to a SSAE or similar, he'll miss that lesson. On the other hand, I don't find much value in having a newer shooter use a GI trigger to learn high performance shooting. This shouldn't be that controversial on this forum? The...

    Ar trigger?

Out of all the AR triggers I've tried, I prefer the SSA-E, but I also prefer my 2 stage AI trigger to other bolt gun options. I think a lot has to do with what you grow used to. I also have a SD3G on a lower, and it's nice to have for some types of 3 gun matches, but not so great for precision...

Fort Knox is a good way to go.

What scope are you running on you 22?

I have a S&B PMII on my .22 trainer. Just kidding. I have the BSA too, and it works great for the money.

Best choice for electronic hearing protection?

Yup. These kick ass. The disposable ear inserts are expensive though.

Rifle Scopes Is a $$ scope worth the money?

I can confirm this. After moving from a Mk 4 to a PM II, it's very hard to get behind mediocre glass. With the new scope I find myself shooting at much lower mag. I don't agree that Vortex Razors are dog shit compared to anything--especially a SWFA. They are both good scopes for the money.
