On my .22 trainer I try to keep the setup as close to my real long range guns as possible. So, the reticle, FFP, and mil turrets are key. I didn't want to spend too much so I use a BSA FFP mil/mil scope...
I would have preferred a lifetime warranty too. On the other hand, I think good customer service is more important. E.g. Dillon only offers a 1 year warranty on their top of the line 1050 press but provides service and parts for a fair price.
BTW the turrets on my new SB are GTG.
See ya on...
Some play in the legs is fine. Oil on the cant adjustment system is NOT ok because it will be loose no matter what. If someone put oil there and returned it I would send it back and get a new one.

I am a competitive long range tactical shooter and like Ballistic AE best among the iPhone apps. However, there are a couple of functionality problems that I want you to know about. The problems occur in part because...
Shave--That's exactly what I did. The first stage is 1.5 lbs and the 2nd stage breaks crisply at 2.5. I just shot the Camp Patriot Steel Challenge, and I am liking this trigger a lot.
Carl--thanks for another f-ing awesome match! The new format definitely added some urgency to some of the stages, and Stage 12 was a total blast. The biting ants on Stage 1 were a good touch as well. Can't wait to see what you'll cook up for next year.
Thanks to the ROs and rest of the crew...
Related question: when doing the safety check on the 3-position safety on my AI AE Mk iii, I notice 4 clicks not 3. There seems to be an extra click between fire and the middle safety position. Do your Mk iii's do that too?
