    Anything new/different with the firing pin assembly in the Archimedes, pertaining to the "light strikes" of the Nucleus with a sub 25# spring, assuming the "ignition system" between the two actions is/was the same?

    I'm in the same boat (awaiting action). KRG said as long as the nut (Barloc collar + ARC barrel nut) is not larger in diameter than the receiver, all will be well. With that, if Nucleus is the same diameter as Mausingfield (1.355"), the Barlock (at least the ARC barrel nut) is 1.350". Because...

    Any reservations chambering a Savage small shank in 300 PRC? I've read Savage had chambered some magnum barrels on the small shank, at first, but then moved those calibers to the large shank. Also, not sure if it has been posted already, but X-Caliber has the option to select a 300 PRC chamber...
