    300 blackout sbr build questions

I hope I may chime in. I'm rebuilding my AR15 currently and considering the .300 blk with supersonic loads for hunting. 1. Does anyone use Hornady factory loads (110gr V-Max) in his and if so, what velocities are you getting with which barrel lenght? 2. Does anyone run a 14.5" barreled carbine...

Just for clarification of another discussion: The AX.338 doublestack magazine allows for a longer coal (95mm) than the old AW.338 singlestack magazine (92mm), right?

    Anyone here shoot 9.3x62

Re: Anyone here shoot 9.3x62 It's no elephant gun. In Germany it's used for everyday hunting from roe deer (15-40 lbs) up to red stag (400+lbs). Recoil is, as mentioned above, shotgun like and not punishing. I can shoot it all day and I'm not that fond of recoil. As long as your shooting...

    Hunting & Fishing Pretty disappointed.

Re: Pretty disappointed. Consider training a dog for tracking jobs. A good one will find a wounded buck even after more than 24h have passed. In the last 10 years we didn't loose a single buck or boar, not saying there were no bad shots, but at least we had the means to track them reliably.

    New Bastard brake options

Re: New Bastard brake options With stress relieved barrels there shouldn't be a problem. I'm not saying it's a big issue, or even an issue one should be remmotely concerned about. Just one thing to consider when having a barrel threaded.

PGM Ultima Ratio 308w . first impressions

Re: PGM Ultima Ratio 308w . first impressions Here it's illegal to discharge a firearm outside a shootingrange. Except for hunting and zeroing hunting rifles. If there are too many shots in a row it's quite likely that some cyclist or dog walker calls the police. Building new rifle ranges...

PGM Ultima Ratio 308w . first impressions

Re: PGM Ultima Ratio 308w . first impressions I do, AIs are just too common to be fun, mostly due to the chassis. I'm not quite sure though if I should buy a PGM. For hunting the PGM is too heavy compared to more common options* and considering the moot availability of training facilities...

Re: PGM Ultima Ratio 308w . first impressions Hi Sako TRG-22, Isn't the barrel aluminum sleeved? I thought only the core was stainless steel. And since you have a PGM .338, what's the coal you can get out of the .338 mags? Thanks in advance Cuga

338 Win Mag or 375 Ruger?

Re: 338 Win Mag or 375 Ruger? My apologies, I just skimread the thread today, after following it last week. Had to overlook the most important post Well, a .375 caliber makes perfect sense under these conditions. Though the Ruger might be a tad to slow for my taste, when shooting animals...

338 Win Mag or 375 Ruger?

Re: 338 Win Mag or 375 Ruger? Guys, when he says hunting, it most propably means antelopes and critters like that, not dangerous game. A legal minimum caliber for self defence against dangerous game is absurd. Technically the .338 Win should be capable of taking any dangerous game in South...

Hunting & Fishing Vegan vs. Meat Eater

M110 vs HK417 vs LaRue OBR

Re: M110 vs HK417 vs LaRue OBR @R.O.U.S. Yes it is made out of steel. Why? The connection of upper and barrel is much more rigid, the whole weapon could survive much more of a beating, than any competitor and stay accurate. Well, question is who uses his marksman rifle as a sledgehammer...

M110 vs HK417 vs LaRue OBR

Re: M110 vs HK417 vs LaRue OBR The H&K 417 is a battle rifle, in german army trials for a new dmr it failed in accuracy tests. Thus H&K developed the G28 based on the H&K 417's civilian version. I guess you shouldn't consider the G28 though, a 16 lbs, 16.5" barreled rifle may be not the first...
