    Suppressors Silencer Welding

Re: Silencer Welding My point is that there is no force trying to separate the baffles. Welding holds them together, but nothing is trying to pull them apart. They're being pushed together (forward) when shot and pressed together. There is, I suppose, extra strength preventing rupture...

    Suppressors Silencer Welding

Re: Silencer Welding Uh oh, here we go again ;p I think it's a Shark suppressor I saw an assembly video for where the baffles were just stacked and the tube put down over them. They were held in/in place by the end cap. The baffles have no where to go, so I don't see the need to weld them...

    Suppressors Les Bear,Wilson,Ed brown,etc

Re: Les Bear,Wilson,Ed brown, etc I would vote +1 for Dan Wesson, I love mine and my dad's. But if money is not a consideration I might go for the Les Bear. Felt a LB longslide at a SOF gunshow in Vegas several years ago and it had the smoothest slide of any pistol I've ever handled...

    Suppressors Silencer Welding

Re: Silencer Welding LOL, that is probably a valid point I like the idea of being able to disasemble them for cleaning, of course I also like the idea of making my own. Regards, Nate

    Suppressors Silencer Welding

Hi guys. Let me start off by asking this not turn into a SF vs AAC flame war. Now on to business. Why do cores need to be welded at all. Simple question, but I'll expand. Is it a rotational issue? If it's all inside the outer tube and flush fit against the rest of the internals it really...

Suppressors Free aac cans, did anyone else get in on this?

Re: Free aac cans, did anyone else get in on this? I made it through 4 years in the Corps with no tatoos, but THIS would have changed things had I heard in time. Next time, Nate

    Suppressors Springfield XDm

Re: Springfield XDm The XDM is a great gun. I own the XDM .40 and have a 9mm conversion barrel. The gun is accurate, reliable, and well built. I shoot it better than either the M&Ps or the Glocks, and the USP never felt right in my hand. If you can, rent one and get a feel for it...

Suppressors Which would you carry: S&W M&P 40 or XDM 40? Why

Re: Which would you carry: S&W M&P 40 or XDM 40? I own an XDM .40 and the 9mm conversion barrel. I love this pistol! I've only shot a few mags through an MP but both I and the MP owner shot my XDM better. Not much experience with the MP here, but +1 for XDM Regards, Nate

Suppressors Jello for 'wet' suppressor medium????

Re: Jello for 'wet' suppressor medium???? If I recall correctly they standard is white lithium grease. But I just pulled that out of a faulty memory, so who knows. I read 12+ books on silencers as research for a how to make 'em book I haven't yet finished. Also, I've heard of people...
