Re: ok so maybe on the hide isn't the right place when I looked it over nothing stood out as "not right". Last time I saw a gun shoot that bad was a ak that had a bulged barrel. I may run a rod through it next time Im there and see if there are any weird spots in the bore.

Re: ok so maybe on the hide isn't the right place 8x57 There was the normal flex in the barrel when grabbed ahold of but it almost felt like there was a "clicking" going on towards the end of the travel like it was moving around. The action seemed to be in the stock tight though and didnt...

Savage MkII won't extract Wolf Ammo. Suggestions?

Re: Savage MkII won't extract Wolf Ammo. Suggesti had the same trouble over the winter time shooting Lapua,SK match and wolf match target. All have the same headstamp. Only had the problem with this ammo, however this ammo was also by far the most accurate. Would shoot .5's in the winter off...

Re: Legal questions... Making a can sure does help. Thanks for the reply. I figure I got the access to cnc machines, material, and I think it would be cool to say "hey I made this" just for the sake of doing it. I've been thinking about buying a can for about a year now, and am thinking about...

Suppressors Legal questions... Making a can

Ok so Im a machinist and was thinking about designing and making my own can. What do I need to do to make sure I stay legal? Is it a lot more of a headache (paperwork wise and wait time) than buying a can from my local class 3 dealer? sorry if this has already been posted. I tried a few...

Range Report need help with judging wind

Re: need help with judging wind Yeah I have checked it out before, and it is a good reference. I guess really what Im asking is if I see the grass on top of the back stop or trees in the area moving one direction, but I see the mirage going the other what would you trust most?

Range Report need help with judging wind

Re: need help with judging wind Thanks for all the input! This weekend went pretty well. I put up a flag 10 yds down from me, and one at 530yds. I couldn't make out any mirage until a brief part of the day when the sun came out for a bit. The wind was blowing between 3-5 and gusting to 12ish...

Range Report need help with judging wind

What would you trust more..., Mirage, or junk blowing around on and by the back stop, distant tree branches, grass in the field ect.? Im shooting at a range in Indiana and I can't seem to figure out the winds there.Mirage seems to indicate one thing but the way things are blowing seems to say...

Odd case failure...at least to me...

Re: Odd case failure...at least to me... I had a case failure like that once out of my L1A1. In my case though it just ended up being poorly made early run wolf .308 ammo. After the second case split open I decided the heck with this and packed them up and sent them back to wolf for a no...

Re: Calling Savage Owners 10FP hey good luck! sounds like you are set. I have a savage 10fcp with the McMillian stock and a ha ha centerpoint scope. With a bit of range 500yd hits holding groups under 1moa are getting easy and 700yd hits aren't too bad either. Good luck and sounds like you...
