    not too bad for mid grade ammo

    I do my ammo testing at 100yds. If ammo groups well at 100 then it usually does well at 200. Not every time though. A good lot# to me is one that groups under 1/2" at 100 yds. I have a few that go under 3/8". My three most accurate rifles are 1808/Shilen, 2007/Lilja and a 1411 made in the '70s.

    I think your problem is barrel droop. Friend of mine had the same problem. First of all you only need 10 in/lb on the v-block. Most barrels do not fit the receiver very tightly.     Looks to be too tough for my old busted up body. That's what happens when a 60 year old decides to ride a Sport Bike again after road racing at Talladega and Daytona decades ago = dead man on the side of the road after crash. Injuries are way too numerous to list.

    Heck, I can do it all day long with my Nylon 66 and 4X Weaver with 3/4" tube. It's a real tack driver with CCI Blazers.

    Want to get a 40x

    The only negative thing about a 40X is the vertical locking lugs. The aftermarket actions based on the 40X have horizontal lugs. Forgot to mention I had a USMC 40X. It is based on the 722 action. The barrel is tapered.

    Here's what we do for fun shooting. Brock's Gap Training Center, Hoover, Alabama - .22 Sniper Match We have changed some of the target sizes - 50 yd is 1 1/2 x2" and the 100yd is now 2x3". Wind is NOT your friend in this match.
