I'm guessing this qualifies as optics at least it did back in it's day, anyway. I have a BNIB Lee Shaver Soule Long Range Vernier style sight and a Taylor and Co. front globe sight and metal sight inserts for an 1874 Sharps rifle for sale. Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper HS-T 4-16x44
Just bought a an HS-T for my M24 replica. Wanted to get a Leupy Mark 4, but liked the price, reputation, and warranty of Vortex better. Now I gotta ind some Butler caps for it. Anyone know the right sizes to get? Nice scope, can't wait to get to the range with it.- firemanjim

I have to agree with the guys above that there will probably be a lot of different opinions based on some people following the herd. Truth is, if I had the money, I'd love to buy Leupold, Steiner, US Optics and so forth.......IF I HAD THE MONEY. For me though it comes down to mostly what I can...- firemanjim

Rifle Scopes Leupold, Why No Love?
Price is what did it for me mostly to turn me off Leupold. Vortex offers pretty much all I need in my new Vortex HS-T scope for less than half the price of a Leupold Mark 4 M3.- firemanjim

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig 226 or 228
I prefer the Sig P226 personally, although I prefer the older non-rail models. Shoots great, accurate as heck, and great balance. Never fired the 228, but if you're looking for a CC weapon, the 228 is better for it than the 226.- firemanjim

ever sold a gun that you wish you really really did not.
I feel your pain. Although your guns are better than the ones I sold, so I imagine your pain is greater. Sold these for emergency finances too. Hk Mark23 Hk P7 Uberti Model 1866 Saddle-ring carbine "Trapper" model Yeah, it hurts. Eventually I'm gonna try to get them all back though- firemanjim
