    McMillan Contour Question

I'm a newbe so please bear with me. I'm having a mechanic build me a new thunder stick with a Krieger barrel. My mechanic advised me that if I buy a McMillan stock, to get a Krieger #18 contour so he could properly fit it. Anyway, an A4 with a remington "varmit" countour is up for sale in...

Gunsmithing Rem 700 PSS Trigger Creep

Re: Rem 700 PSS Trigger Creep I agree for the most part, the older remmy triggers are GTG. I've adjusted it down enough to be okay for me, but I'm an old 1911 pistol shooter and I HATE the slighted amount of creep in any trigger and my stock remmy trigger has enough to bug the SH-- out of me...

Re: Indiana Gunsmith What I've committed to is to have my old remmy 700 pss upgraded with a Kreiger barrel, trued up action, and bedded. I'm not too concerned about the wait time,...I have plenty of things that go bang that I need to knock the dust off of.

    Robertson Tac Stocks

Hey Fellas, I'm looking at a Robertson TAC stock,..looks real cool, but I can't dig too much up about them. I see a lot of benchrest type shooters have the high tech looking stuff, but I haven't seen very much about their tactical style stocks. What's your opinion?

Gunsmithing Rem 700 PSS Trigger Creep

Re: Rem 700 PSS Trigger Creep Affirmative,..I was very safe in my adjustments. I did take the engagement down to the point that it would not stay engaged as the bolt was closed and then I started working my way back. I've adjusted the sear engagement to the point that any further reduction...

Gunsmithing Rem 700 PSS Trigger Creep

i have an older remmy 700 pss and I have adjusted the trigger down pretty light. However, it is still not "crisp",...has creep in it. Can the creep be honed / stoned out by a gunsmith or should I just replace the group with a Jewell or something?

Re: Indiana Gunsmith Well damn, I hate to read these somewhat less than positive opinions about PP,...I made a committment just last week. I suppose I'll just "stay the course" and take my chances. I have heard some good / positive reports as well about PP.

Would anyone out there recommend Penrod Precison for smith work? I found only one or two older posts that recommended PP but I wanted to hear recent opinions. From the little that I have found, PP does very good work.
