Precision Rifle Gear DFAT / IDTS dryfire trainer question

I use the I.O.T.A. system with a laptop computer. IDPA target sizes accurately scaled with H59 reticle over-lay on a Word document. Sidearms & Scatterguns Pistol carry in my 5.11 Rush Messenger bag?

I will avoid the philosophies and just stick to adressing the OP question. Here are some velcro and non-velcro options. The velcro is nice as you can orient your gear in an unlimited manner, unlike a MOLLE type internal system where it dictates a 90 orientation to the attached gear. The grey...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock 44 shortcomings

Like mine. Uses the same Safariland holsters at the G19 and the standard blue gun fits also. Don't have much use for the threaded barrel but got one anyway.

    Gunsmithing Castle Nut Tool Recommendation

Before assigning blame to the castle nut tool you should check buffer tube thread classification 1A/2A / 3A that would be matching the internal B class of threads for the castle nut being used.

    gas block roll pin

Yes. All the roll / solid pin starter punches have short depth recess to hold the pin. Lots of mfg's make standard sized sets. Easy to fabricate from drill rod stock. Made a variety for the small pins. I have that Forwards Control block bench, it's nicely made.

    gas block roll pin

5/64" roll pin starter punches are handy, most hold the pin on its external diameter. I fabricated one that indexes on the roll pin hole so it not only starts the pin, it completes the installation as well, no need to switch to a proper roll pin punch after the starter punch.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Upgrading a Sig 229

For the Sig's their sight picture adage is "float the FRONT SIGHT dot, break the shot"......Sight Picture # 3 for Sigs. Any adjustment of sight #'s, the rear sight is changed FIRST. The P226 / P229 ; every 0.007", i.e. 0.2 millimeters, ( the thickness of an index card) height increment changes...

    AR10 Bolt face dimensions

What msgriff said. Eyeball it with gauge pins. I would start with a .250" and turn it down until it fits your bolt face.....on this larue bolt it looks like a .232" would be be pretty close for starters. Just to mention, with turning down on the lathe usually the first operation is to face it...
