Lets talk about dies… what do you like and why?

Since I have never used bushing dies, a couple of questions; 1. Do you resize first with the Redding S FL die and then size the neck with the Lee collet? 2. Are you using a bushing in the sizing die (I would assume not)? Thanks!

    700 sps tactical

Re: 700 sps tactical See link in my sig below. Think of an out-of-the-box SPS Tac as a barreled action and bolt with a basic trigger. With the addition of a B&C Medalist stock and a Timney trigger, you have one hell of a rifle for under $1000.

Question about inconsistency with new 700?

Re: Question about inconsistency with new 700? For a short term fix on the Hogue stock, this may be worth a try; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsQUwzEqvQc Evcen a $220 B&C stock will make a world of difference.

    Another Budget Build

Re: Another Budget Build Update Made it out today for my second range session. Before I went, I had reduced the action screw torque from 65 inch/pounds to 45, due to concerns over the strength of the stock bottom metal. My goal for this session was to (1) see if the change in the action...

Bell and Carlson: Tactical Medalist Style 2 or 3??

Re: Bell and Carlson: Tactical Medalist Style 2 or 3?? Also, don't forget the B&C 2958. I wasn't looking for a "100% tactical" stock but something a little more conventional. So far it has worked out well for me - see the link in my sig below.

Question about inconsistency with new 700?

Re: Question about inconsistency with new 700? Ditch the stock. When I picked up my new 700 SPS Tac, I brought it home and immediately removed the stock - I had a B&C ready to go. Also, what kind of scope mount? Was it bedded to the receiver? The only other culprit could be this. See the...

AAC Stock Choice - Need Help

Re: AAC Stock Choice - Need Help I went with the B&C Medalist 2958 stock and am pleased with it. I wanted something conventional that would help get the most out of the 700 SPS Tac accuracy wise, without spending a fortune and turning it into a 15 pound behemoth. See the link below in my sig.

    Rifle Scopes 4-screw/6-screw Ring Set

Hello to all, my first post on this forum. I did a quick search and was unable to find an answer to my question. I am preparing to mount a SWFA SS HD 10x42 using a set of Seekins 4/6 Cap Combo rings and a Leupold Mark 4 steel base (which I am bedding to to the receiver). Is the 6-screw ring...
