Two different bullets and loads. The barrel is accurate. Anything holding it back is me the shooter, not the barrel.

Coup De Grâce 223 action experiences?

The plastic composite mag is rated for 223AI, the metal one was not. By modifying the mag lips as shown, the metal mag feeds 223AI just fine. I had to modify the rear edge of the composite mag feed lips as shown in the photos. The rear edge was square, and the bolt body was snagging on the...

Coup De Grâce 223 action experiences?

Yes, by moving the front edge of the feed lips on the metal mag to the rear (by cutting them), the metal mag releases the round at the same time as the composite mag in the photo. In the original configuration, the metal mag was holding onto the back end of the round too long, forcing the...

Coup De Grâce 223 action experiences?

I have a 223AI CDG, currently in a KRG Bravo. I’m using the MDT magazines: https://mdttac.com/223/ both the metal one with the plastic insert, and the plastic one. In my experience, the key is tuning magazines to the action. If you compare the plastic insert feed lips on the metal magazine...

Poor man’s AI picture thread (AICS)

AIAW magazine. Like the ATX magazine, but without the small lip at the top front. Trigger hangar fits just fine. But I did remove the rear magazine guide bracket. Runs fine without it. I like the MKMachining grip, and added a self-made thumb rest and rear bag rider.

Area 419 Zero Press vs SCA Nexus Press

Has anyone heard if SAC is planning on an adapter that allows the Nexus to function as a press for in-line seating dies? Since SAC is coming out with their own in-line seater, it make sense, but I have not heard if they plan on that capability.

    Accuracy International AT-X

Looks like they made some machining cuts to either side of the action to lighten the action.

Is it possible to remove a TRG-42 barrel without making a relief cut?

I’ve popped off 2 TRG actions and 4 Tikka actions with a Brownells steel barrel vise and steel external universal action wrench. I used a small sledge to pop the wrench handle. Sudden torque is better that a long bar and steady pressure.
