This is the new one, it's not on their website yet but should be sometime this week. They sent one out for me to beta test and it's very similar to their non-folder. I still have their current folder thumb rest sitting here and I wasn't a fan, this is worlds better.
Well the squeaky wheel gets the grease rings true once more. I reached out to Sokek about my grievances with the current AI folding stock thumb rest design and I gave them some ideas on what I was looking for and they came up with a new one. I took the rifle out this past weekend and ran 100...
I slapped a Sokek Solutions on the AT-XC last week. It provides a wider base for stability when riding in a rear bag and it's more aesthetically pleasing than the club foot of a bag rider that comes on these AI rifles.
I had the 6 ARC out last week. I'll be switching up the glass this spring, looking for a little more top-end. The Razor 1-10x w/12 o'clock Acro has found its way over to an old LMT 13.9" quad rail setup.
I had the large FOB for my Swaro EL Ranges and they fit nicely. If the 12x42 are smaller than the EL Ranges then they would likely fit in the Medium. I Might try the Pro-M this time around.
IME the Proof barrels are the ticket, it's the Hornady LOT that is the crap shoot. I saw a .390" 5-round group with 108's in the 18" Proof, best I've seen in the 14.5" is right at .500" but the newer LOT's of 108's have been hit or miss.
I find, like most I'd assume, that I am in the 8-10x range 90% of the time making the low end not as important. It's nice to have more top end with an illuminated reticle when needed IME.
