    6.5 cm Question

Re: 6.5 cm Question The 6.5 is a nice round, pretty low recoiling but if your going to be using the gun in timed competitions you want the quickest follow up shots possible and brake will certainly help with that.

    6mm Creedmoor performance rundown

Re: 6mm Creedmoor performance rundown Hopefully this round takes off and does well for all the people who shoot this out of gas and bolt gun! It would be nice to shoot the same round through bolt and gas gun to save on component and setup

Using a Stiller Tac30AW as a hunting rifle

Re: Using a Stiller Tac30AW as a hunting rifle I think I would be more apt to use something with a hinged floor plate with a hunting build but that tends to usually be due to capacity limits and not having to worry about catching the catch and releasing your mag. But if you have it, and...

    Barrel Decisions

Re: Barrel Decisions Absolutely. Some people prefer a fluted to unfluted. But there are some people who don't like them. Personally I think its a great compromise for you

.30-06 choice: Final Push to decide

Re: .30-06 choice: Final Push to decide Out of the three you have listed I would look into the savage or the tikka. And I have really been impressed with tikka rifles and would go that route. Between savage and tikka you can't go wrong either way.

    .338 muzzle brake advice, please

Re: .338 muzzle brake advice, please APA Fat Bastard, it may be big and it may not be the most appealing but it'll make shooting that big 338 comfortable and pleasurable.

    Wildcat AR's..........let's see 'em

Re: Wildcat AR's..........let's see 'em What kinda ballistics are you getting from this setup? It sounds like it could be a halfway decent little varmit or precision shooter cartridge.

    My First LR308 Build

Re: My First LR308 Build Nice looking rifle, I like the texture on the handguard. Does it actually provide a good bit of grip or mainly looks? Thanks!

Re: vortex razor or NF for .50 DTC Both of those scopes are top notch scopes and will serve you very very well. I have not had any reason to call nightforce but have spoke with the folks at vortex and they are all very very nice people and super helpful. And their no bs warranty is also a...

    Bipod for Savage 110BA .338

Re: Bipod for Savage 110BA .338 I'd be looking for something very heavy duty, those guns aren't light by any means lol The usual Harris bipod I'm sure would withstand the abuse but I am a very big fan of the atlas bipod, built like a tank and a very capable bipod.

    Still deciding on barrel contour.

Re: Still deciding on barrel contour. I'm with everyone else, build the rifle to your needs. A light and more portable hunting rifle is going to be a different build then a target rifle. For my hunting rifles I try to keep it lighter, but not overly light but I don't have mountain ranges like...

    TRG 42 300WM Discontinued?

Re: TRG 42 300WM Discontinued? That really blows, like mentioned above, some ranges won't allow 338 but more importantly is the cost associated with 338lm. Not everyone has that kind of disposable income to be able to shoot lapua, even if they reload. The components alone are outrageously...

    300 win mag twist rate

Re: 300 win mag twist rate Out of a 300wm I would prefer a much heavier bullet. I know people are having awesome luck with the 208 amax but also up to 220-230 and sometimes heavier.
