Re: Thoughts on barrel length 18in barrel 308s rock! Ive been shooting them for years. If you handload, why on earth would you not shoot something more compact while still retaining the velocity. 175 smks are scary accurate in my chopped rem 5r, at 2690fps avg.- MIKEONE
