    Factory crimp dies

Two thoughts; I shoot 308 in an M1A---never crimped unless shooting 147 grainers with the cannelure. My bolt gun has never used ammo with a crimp, except for the 147's. In both cases, it's never been an issue. I have used the Lee Factory crimp die---for bullets without the cannelure---I noticed...

Why so much garbage 338 Lapua brass?

I recently ordered some brass from "Brassman" (.com); used, military stuff. It arrived in average condition and after a good cleaning and the usual prep work it was quite alright. build or buy 338 Lapua ?

Had a McMillan, had a Dakota Arms; both were well made, fit and fucntion were flawless; grouped very well once I found the "load" they liked. Each shot well with Lapua ammo; but I reload and prefer my own, so it took me a bit to discover a happy combination. Both rifles liked Lapua brass (as did...

Wet tumbling brass color change after annealing brass?

Most of the "dish soaps" have high alkalinity types of "degreasers", i.e. ammonia (notorious for darkening brass)----I don't recognize "lemishine", but I assume that it's a citrus based cleaner; as such the citrus acids may act to transport brass between components of different alloy make ups (a...
