    Gunsmithing Bench vice

For barrels, the brownells 4 bolt vice has served me well for the past 8 years. It gets incredibly tight. I have bought or machined a couple dozen bushings for various barrel contours over the years. As for standard bench vice, I just use the northern tool (chinese) ones. I have a big 12"...

    Shooting the 50 BMG

Brakes are all about surface area. You can usually tell how effective a brake will be by how much surface area the muzzle gas can exert force against. In my experience, size of the surface matters a lot more than the number of chambers. A 2" diameter 1" long brake will outperform a 2" long...

    Suppressors Elite iron

I have had a Bravo SD and a Bravo and was very impressed with the quality of manufacturing. They are noticeably heavier than similar brands. I especially like the mounting system of the SD. It is incredibly smooth and a precision fit between silencer and mount.

Suppressors NICS check with Corps and Trusts now??

At my last compliance inspection about a year ago, my inspector told me to check the box and do not run NICS for NFA, regardless if trust or individual. He told me they all know its a problem in the regs.

Gunsmithing Chambering a barrel through the headstock?

To answer your question, best practice is do not allow more than 2.5x the part diameter to stick out. So if you have a 1.25" barrel blank, 3" is the max you would want unsupported. But if your chuck is making contact where its only 1", then 2.5" is your max.

Whats an AR-TEL M21 scope actually worth?

Re: Whats an AR-TEL M21 scope actually worth? Thanks. I would rather see it go to someone who will appreciate it. Yes, I do plan on listing it here for sale. With the mount and case. After I determine whats a fair asking price. Any idea what it will go for?

    Steiner 20x80 binos worth it?

I already have the Steiner Predator 8x42 binos and I love them. I often think I could use a little more magnification though. Are the 20x80s worth it? Primary use is for ranch management and hunting, with occasional LR shooting spotting.

Whats an AR-TEL M21 scope actually worth?

I found one in my gear that I really have no use for. I had it checked out by an "expert" and he said it was a legit. It has the original mount that "Cams" the tube up and down. Whats something like that worth?

Fieldcraft 2012 TV BugOut Drill - Training, Gear, Etc

Re: 2012 TV BugOut Drill - Training, Gear, Etc Its a tactical tailor mini MAV, with a blue force gear double AR-10 mag shingle, and a double pistol mag shingle. I had more than 3 mags, but the rest were inside the pack. No issues with IWB here, I flew over the obstacles compared to most.

Rifle Scopes Exactly What Problems Are There w/ USO Scopes?

Re: Exactly What Problems Are There w/ USO Scopes? I have 3 of them. I havent been able to find a problem yet. And my rifle recently fell off my ATV and got driven over. Tested it afterwards and made a 1st round hit at 300 on a 4" steel plate. Guess it held zero when run over.
