    How are things at MPA?

I've had a couple BA Comps and replaced them with Matrix Pro chassis. The ESR has M-lok slots on the hand guard, which makes accessory attachment easy. The ESR is longer, making balancing easier. Between the BA Comp and ESR, it's an easy choice to go with the ESR.

    ‘Entry level’ chassis

You didn't mention it, but if you plan to shoot PRS matches, I highly recommend signing up for a PRS membership. A $55 Regional membership can unlock coupon codes from 10-40 percent off, depending on the manufacturer/distributor. I believe MPA's discount is 15%, so their Matrix Pro PMR rifle...

Trump is back…the “Now What” thread

Don't love Trump, but I love what he's doing. So, you can go kiss my hairy, white ass with your BS. Orange man bad, right?

Trump is back…the “Now What” thread

Reciprocal tariffs literally are designed to get rid of tariffs, not to perpetuate them. Thus, those who claim that tariffs are bad as a general concept have no credibility in this debate since they are and have been perfectly fine with the world placing massive tariffs (as well as non-tariff...

    What's the Go-To 223 Brass Now?

I bought a bunch of Starline .223 brass from Creedmoor Sports awhile back and have zero complaints. I also use R-P (Remington) .223 brass for gas guns since it's cheap and plentiful and I don't care if I lose some.

First adventure with a BR family cartridge - impressed so far

That's what I've read about the powder and bullet combo, so I thought I would give it a whirl. I'm not going to get too concerned about it until I get closer to 200 rounds down the barrel and do some load development. For those 9 groups, it averaged .64 moa, so considering that I'm happy. If...

First adventure with a BR family cartridge - impressed so far

This is my first adventure with a BR family cartridge and so far I'm super impressed. I had a spare Bartlein heavy varmint barrel chambered in 6 CM (by SPR) for my main PRS rifle laying around so I decided to send it back to SPR to re-chamber it for 6mm BRA. I only lost 1.40 inches of barrel...

    MDT BR AICS mags source?

Anyone have a good source for the MDT BR AICS pattern mags? Placed an order with MDT 10 days ago they showed “in stock” at the time of order placement. I called them today and I was told 1-2 weeks for the 10 round and 8-12 weeks for the 12 round. I’d like to have a mag or two in hand sooner...

Marlin 336 SBL lever action came home with me

This past weekend I stumbled across this new Marlin 336 SBL (.30-30 Win) at a local gun shop that I was checking out. I've always been a fan of the stainless Marlin 336 rifles but never saw one on a shelf. This one came home with me. Since it's already threaded for 5/8-24, I mocked it up with...

In ear/ear bud hearing protection reccomendations and an ear pro question

I have the Walker Silencer Ear Bud 2.0 bluetooth and really like them. I added tiny, dead cat fuzzy things over the mic hole I found on Amazon that reduce the wind noise.

DOGE finds Treasury Dept loses 1 Billion dollars a week to fraud and corruption: Deep State Judge blocks exposure

Just before I left, there were discussions about building a new ATR (Advanced Test Reactor) in Idaho, so maybe some of that $12B was allocated for that project? The ATR is also used by private companies for research. The ATR is past its design life, so a replacement is needed to continue...

DOGE finds Treasury Dept loses 1 Billion dollars a week to fraud and corruption: Deep State Judge blocks exposure

The company that I worked for in the NNPP was not in the ship or sub building business. We designed the nuclear reactors. Is that clearer?

DOGE finds Treasury Dept loses 1 Billion dollars a week to fraud and corruption: Deep State Judge blocks exposure

I agree 100%. The R&D that I was involved with will likely not be on a ship or sub for years. In the NNPP program, it is very difficult to hide fraudulent expenses because of the numerous levels of oversight. Can't say the same for other programs. Everything we spent money on was watched...

DOGE finds Treasury Dept loses 1 Billion dollars a week to fraud and corruption: Deep State Judge blocks exposure

I don't know where Insurrection Barbie gets her info, but the Navy is constantly building various ships (subsurface and surface). Nor do I know exactly what that $12B was allocated for (i.e. research or construction?), but a quick check can show what the status of ship building is here...
