    OAL with heavies was an issue with my Kimber in .280ai, and I suspect it would be with the Tikka as well unless OP converted to AICS.     Yeah, shit happens sometimes when you're hunting, it's good to have a quick follow-up on tap to seal the deal if needed. That's very interesting performance from the 125gr SSTs, I would have expected them to be soft at those velocities, but it sounds like they behaved excellently.

    In general, I'd look for 25-30 fps per inch loss in the 24" - 20" range. Maybe a little more in the shorter barrels, but not much.

    I'm curious about the weight too, I have kind of a Walmart version of that rifle going together, Tikka with Stockys carbon stock and a 19" featherweight carbon-six barrel in 7 PRC. Bare rifle weight should probably be similar though.
