5 value scopes image quality comparison

A little constructive criticism. It looks like there are dark spots on some of the images from having an obstruction in the extreme foreground. You could fix this by moving slightly to the left when taking the images, Otherwise, it looks like a good project. Thanks.

    Rifle Scopes Crossover reticle theory

For hunting, it is really hard to beat a Burris Veracity with the E1 FFP reticle. It is a FFP BDC reticle with 5 and 10 MPH wind holds, that is thin in the middle and gets progressively wider the further you go to the edge. so when you zoom way in, it is still thin in the middle and still wide...

    Burris Fullfield E1 4.5-14 x 42mm with Ballistic Plex

I love my E1FFP Burris Veracity. I have the external MAD knob and generally use the BDC reticle for 300 and under and dial if it is more. It just makes sense to me to have a BDC reticle on a FFP scope.

Rifle Scopes Arken ep5 vs Athlon chronus

I have a variety of XTR2's and a pair of NON illuminated xtr3's (3.3-18 and 5.5-30) the 5.5-30 XTR3 is as good as any scope i have seen, the 3.3-18 isn't as good, but still a pretty good notch above my DMR2, and my best XTR2's. My best XTR2's are really, really good (a 3-15 and 4-20). better...

    Hunting/Mid-Range Shooting Scope under $1500

The reticle is too thin on the XTR3 (and most target reticles) for hunting, not too thick.

    Hunting/Mid-Range Shooting Scope under $1500

I have hunting scopes and i have target scopes. I am not a fan of trying to get a target reticle to work for hunting. I have a 3.3-18 and a 5.5-30 Burris XTR3, and i don't care for them in a hunting environment. Mine aren't illuminated, but i don't care for illumination, it messes with my eyes...

Rifle Scopes Burris Blem Sale at Natchez

I have got a few blemished Burris optics from Natchez, and in the past it has all been just a box that is damaged, and nothing visibly blemished on the scope. I am not saying they all will be this way, but the ones i got were this way. I am a little nervous getting a refurb, but the blemished...

Rifle Scopes Burris Blem Sale at Natchez

take another 10% off and that is what i got it for... i have a 3-15 G2B and love it for hunting so when i saw this i decided to get the 4-20.

FFP progressively larger reticle for hunting

Years ago i had mentioned that i really liked the Burris E1 FFP reticle in my Veracity because it has the progressively larger reticle and someone mentioned that they were not the only company that uses this innovative reticle. The question is, who else uses this type of reticle to make a...

Rifle Scopes New for 2023 Optics

I absolutely love my Veracity 3-15x50 E1ffp with the optional MAD Knob turret. I thought i was set at hunting scopes for a while.... but this might have forced my hand!

    Scope Recommendations?

My v4 conquest 4-16x44 is a very solid scope, but nothing special. the coatings are very nice, but clarity is just OK, and came in at 4.8% error when i did a 10 mil tall target test. I would say the turret feel is adequate, much like everything else about the scope.

Help me decide budget long range scope

out of the ones listed, i would go with the Burris XTR2. If a used XTR3 is even in the conversation, go that way.

Athlon FFP Helos BTR G2 2-12x42 in hand!

I put the mil 2-12 version on my 6.5 creedmoor deer rifle and sighting in was a bit weird since i put 3/4" orange stickers on 8 1/2×11 paper and the center dot completely covers the sticker. It just makes it a bit tougher to be a tack driver.... but on deer, it is a fantastic reticle. I never...

Rifle Scopes Zeiss Conquest V4 vs Trijicon Tenmile

I have a 4-16x44 Zeiss V4 Conquest and it is a nice rifle scope. It has nice coatings, it seems to dial accurately enough for hunting. The calculated error doing a tall target test is 4.2% at 10 MIL. There really isn't anything wrong with it, but there isn't anything that blew me away. Compared...

    SWFA super sniper 10x

I have one sitting on a shelf. There are plenty out there with good tracking, as good of glass and a variable power that are the same price. A decade ago it was a very good value, now it is a workable unit, but good tracking has become a lot more common and it just isn't going to stand out like...
