    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Without knowing the backstory of your post, my mind decided your new turret caps were of the BDC type. Maybe that's not the case.

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

So what do you do when the temp drops 60° and the turrets aren't even close anymore?

    6.5 Grendel

I've been seeing it a bit lately, but I'm not willing to pay $80 per pound yet.

Barrett M107A1 question on price for this rifle

Every time I shoot a Barrett semi auto I wonder why they cost more than $2k.

    Anything but this.

    Pistol ar....lvpo vs red dot

Not agreeing with him, but I'll say that in perfect conditions, with no wind, great ammo, the dot turned down so dim you almost can't see it, a sufficiently big target with the sun on it, a tree or other very defined feature way behind/above the target with a big branch at just the right spot...

Horse Power, Track Shit, Torque, Cubic Inches, Liters, Run What Ya Brung, Auto or Cycle

Does it matter? You can't see anything but sky anyway.

    Craddock RTR

Did they update that? I see the mod2 on their website lists 5/8 threads. I would think Craddock would know better. Not just the thin muzzle, but the safety aspect of most 1/2x28 muzzle devices having a bore diameter intended for .224 bullets.

    Craddock RTR

Does it really have 1/2x28 threads? That seems pretty questionable on a .264 bore.

Badlands "Shell Shock" 5.56 - snake oil?

I've just always used Strelok, which can no longer be downloaded unfortunately, and just manually input speed, BC and bullet weight then compared drop and drift numbers. The extra energy of the heavies becomes apparent fairly early if you actually need your steel to react, but hit probability...

Horse Power, Track Shit, Torque, Cubic Inches, Liters, Run What Ya Brung, Auto or Cycle

I've seen some silly fads come and go, but most of them were cheap and low effort. The stance thing takes significant effort, isn't cheap, and it makes the car barely driveable. Plus it (subjectively) looks stupid. That's a pretty poor ratio of pros/cons and yet it still caught on. I'll never...

Badlands "Shell Shock" 5.56 - snake oil?

Nah, not crazy at all. I'm sure I've posted multiple times on here that up to a point speed beats BC every day. Being a longer range precision oriented forum I think a lot of guys just naturally gravitate towards the heavy bullets and it never occurs to them to give the light stuff a fair shake.

Horse Power, Track Shit, Torque, Cubic Inches, Liters, Run What Ya Brung, Auto or Cycle

I spent a solid year of seeing pictures like this assuming it was all photoshopped, because no one could be that stupid in real life, could they? Imagine my surprise when I found out that people actually do this stuff, on purpose.

"Over Gassed" AR's Fact or Fiction? Other Perspectives

I keep an open mind to learning new things so I keep waiting for the OP to say something profound, but I'm pretty sure he should sum up this tread and just come out and say that he's a dusty old curmudgeon that doesn't like all these new fangled AGB's and extended gas system lengths because...

That car was for sale a while back. In CA of course. Fun fact, because of the self leveling hydraulic suspension the Citroen DS will happily drive around on three wheels. They didn't come with a jack to change tires, just a block to rest the car on while you used the suspension control dial to...

Badlands "Shell Shock" 5.56 - snake oil?

Eh, inside 500 yards I'd argue against that.

Badlands "Shell Shock" 5.56 - snake oil?

I don't know, every time I think I'm gonna keep something extra spicy around for special occasions I end up being annoyed that I need to develop and use entirely different dope for it, and then when the performance increase is only incrementally better I give up and just go back to one standard...

Badlands "Shell Shock" 5.56 - snake oil?

Ah. I haven't watched any chrono videos, just looked at the listed velocities from these guys, BlackArc and I think one other place whose name escapes me right now, and it seemed like they all claimed 100-150fps faster than the accepted average for a given bullet weight.

Badlands "Shell Shock" 5.56 - snake oil?

Been wondering this same thing for a while. I don't shoot factory ammo but I'm curious if I can replicate their number, safely, with hybrid cases.

I have a Jetta and an X1/9, can confirm, the X1/9 is twice the fun with half the horsepower. I hope to be making 70hp right now, but its a blast, second most fun I've had in a <100hp car. The first most fun was in one of these.
