Best electronic powder scale out there?

Top F class shooters are doing far leas than what a lot of hobbyist shooters do. They just do what matters and do it more consistently. The amount of misinformation in some of the posts in this thread is quite entertaining.

Best electronic powder scale out there?

How many even sort brass anymore at this point too….. Spoiler alert….almost none.

    300 PRC update

At the Precision Rifle Expo we ran 230 A-Tips @ 2850 in a 300 prc. 80 grains of N570 Most everyone shooting was able to do about .7moa or better at 1k on the shot marker.

    Trajectory Matching?

This isn’t anything that painted steel won’t show you.

    Trajectory Matching?

Not sure what you’re looking for here. Give and example of what you’re trying to show new shooters.

    Shooting a good group

Find a good shooter who consistently shoots small groups. If they shoot the rifle/ammo combo and it performs the way you want, then you know it’s you. It’s almost always us (the shooter), but the mental advantage of absolutely knowing it’s you always helps advance the process of becoming better.

    inner neck honing

Just like using lubrication, you’ll see a decrease in friction. I can affect nothing, be “good” or be “bad”. All just depends on your overall process. “Neck Tension” is a sum of many things, most notably: interference fit, friction, neck wall thickness, and spring back. Anytime you change one...

    Stubborn Carbon Ring Removal

Basically what @spife7980 said. Most of my shooting revolves around matches or practicing for matches. So, basically every 2-300 rounds I clean the barrel and get as close to “like new” as possible. Don’t go nuts with anything too abrasive. Just use chemicals (like boretech stuff) designed for...

    Hoplite Arms

With the proper components, you’ll be able to run a 6cm probably 400fps faster. Possibly more. Even more so with larger cartridges.

    AMP Vs. New brass.....

Depends on your definition of accuracy (precision in this context actually). If your definition is shooting .5moa, then no, it probably won’t help. If your definition is shooting in the .1 or .0’s, and you want to do that without having to adjust things every loading cycle like the mandrel or...

    Announced KGM Group Buy

If anyone wants some “target proof” please check out the last page or two on the Hoplite Thread. At least half of the rounds fired through the 300prc and the 6cm were done with these suppressors. This was ammo I tested and loaded for barrels with brakes. I didn’t have the suppressors for ammo...

    I dunno who’s making your ammo….but….damn.

    AMP Vs. New brass.....

I do (along with zero press, amp press, IDOD, mandrels from most every manufacturer, sac dies, 21st century lathe…..etc etc etc). While the amp does increase consistency, it’s by no means anything that’s going to magically add a large amount of measurable value to most shooters. I can name...

    Accuracy International AT-X

Pretty sure at the time of the AXSR development, ergo hadn’t released their vertical grip. So to use a regular ergo and be more vertical, the interface was arranged in such a way to cant the angled grip forward. Also, the axsr was born from a weapon system solicitation. Generally speaking, that...

    Acceptable target size

No idea what the wording meant on that chart. It’s probably an incorrect wording and they are not talking about diagonal corners. On topic though, Rimfire target selection is fluid and at times difficult. Past 2-250 yds, id never go smaller than a 12” round or square. Berms are a *big* deal in...

Autodod resize case before trimming or after

I usually turn virgin brass after running a mandrel. Same thing with fired. I use the smallest mandrel that will have the least chance of throwing off the concentricity while also making the necks the same ID. The way the idod holds cases without a mandrel, the more concentric, the less you...

Autodod resize case before trimming or after

The case is typically the most concentric after firing (as long as they necks aren’t dinged up). Send a fired case Bryan and have him make a case holder for it.

    AMP Vs. New brass.....

If you’re banging steel/shooting prs……you likely won’t see a huge benefit. This is coming from someone who owns most everything possible and I go overboard on my ammo. But not because I’m seeing some crazy good value when shooting steel. Also, for shooting steel and prs, you won’t see much...

Matching Weaponized Math with Ballistic Software

Keep in mind .1-.2 can easily be one or a combination of a laundry list of factors that doesn’t always include velocity and BC. When you can’t get software to line up the last tenth or two, that’s generally a sign that it’s something else. Also, there’s no way to answer for sure if your data...

    Anyone film their matches?

I’d definitely record practice sessions. As far as matches, I won’t say don’t do it, but will just advise some caution. I see far, far too many shooters more concerned with setting up cameras or getting other shooters to film them, but trading that for time on glass or preparing for a stage...
