Re: Suppressed .22 SBR
Not an Arfcom lower, just a BFL decal on the magwell.
I don't see myself selling this one but you can get your own, custom built however you want it. You supply the parts, he makes the barrel, assembles and tests it. And it won't break the bank!
Re: Savage MKII FV-SR questions..
Figured out the pillars. My first attempt at pillar bed is completed but I'm not happy so I'm going to try to build up a couple areas a little more. I've taken a few pics so I'll post them when it's done.
My issue is that Boyds opens up the inlet too much so...
Re: Savage MKII FV-SR questions..
I'd say it sounds like there's something wrong with your rifle considering the huge spreads you're getting across different types of ammo(not the ammo) and what you get out of a similar rifle(not the shooter).
Maybe you got one of the rifles missing rifling...
Re: Savage MKII FV-SR questions..
I'm having a little trouble making my own pillars with my very limited tools(basic hand tools, small drill press, cordless drill, dremel). Further complicating the matter is the odd thread sizes.
In case anyone is looking for replacement screws, the bosses...
Re: Savage MKII into AICS (not Airsoft)
I like the 3 piece design for cost and weight savings as well as flexibility. I really wish I had the skills and tools to do this, it looks like such a cool project. I'm having trouble simply pillar bedding my Tacticool stock

Re: Savage MKII into AICS (not Airsoft)
Looking good! I think you're right, the gap will be less noticeable once it's all painted.
Gregt made a pretty nice chassis for a Howa1500 and posted some CAD renderings and pics which look pretty cool...
Re: Savage MKII into AICS (not Airsoft)
Very cool, I can't wait to see the finished product!
If this turns out well and you can reproduce them, you'll have quite the demand

Yes, it dropped right in, no fitting required.
However, even my "amateur...

Re: Savage MKII FV-SR questions..
Yes they are very accurate out of the box but the accu-trigger allows for a little tuning. Some guys are even swapping the spring for a 10FP spring which is 2 coil shorter.
As 1shot2kill said I don't think they're quite as big as a 10/22 bull barrel but...
Re: stock options for savage heavy 22 lr
The most popular is the Boyd's Tacticool. It's just under $100 shipped but about a 3 week wait. If you have a synthetic stock currently, you'll have to get different bottom metal and trigger guard which is only like $25.
Re: My collection of .22LR dress up kits
I've seen your threads on a few different forums and there is very little sarcasm; A lot of people simply think what you're doing is dumb and couldn't care less about it.
Since most of us are on more than just this forum, maybe you should just post...
Re: My collection of .22LR dress up kits
Before getting an L96, read this thread.

The OP tried an L96 and a Well G96 which apparently has an aluminum chassis and much stronger than the all molded plastic L96 models.
