    What rings to get?

Re: What rings to get? I run TPS steels, they are a high quality lower cost ring. My next set will probably be ARCs, unique designs and consistently good reviews.

    Reloading Beginner...

Re: Reloading Beginner... Classic Cast > Challenger as far as presses, I don't think the Rockchucker, which is what I learned to load on, has anything over the Lee Cast press. I was given a Lee scale and bought a Redding, I prefer balance to digital. Never used Lee's powder measure. A...

    Breaking decapping pins

Re: Breaking decapping pins I haven't broken one, crimps won't do it, reasons listed above will. I use a Lee universal decapper for range brass, stem is collet mounted it'll slip before it breaks, out of thousands of cases it has once, ended up with a few berdan primed.

Reliability during field use: Rem or Savage?

Re: Reliability during field use: Rem or Savage? The Remington 700 has a long history with outdoorsman, the military, and LE, I don't think this would be the case if it were known for being unreliable. I've had experience with 20 or so in various calibers, not all are MOA or better shooters...

    Powder storage laws

Re: Powder storage laws NFPA 495 http://www.saami.org/specifications_and_...less_Powder.pdf I don't think I'd worry about it. I kinda doubt they could tell 50lbs from 70lbs post combustion.

    Buffer tube kits

Re: Buffer tube kits Tungsten powder instead of sliding weights, feels smoother to me, reliability/operational-wise, nothing, does the same job, I would not pay substantially more for it. Spike's marketing claim is reduced carrier bounce, which is not an actual issue unless you're shooting...

Ugh stolen debit card..... FU cabelas!

Re: Ugh stolen debit card..... FU cabelas! In store or online? Debit sucks, lacks the protections of real credit cards, they sure try to make it sound like its all the same though. Get a police report filed, the bank will want one, and everything has to happen quick or they won't give you a...

Trigger Groups For A Tactical Rifle

Re: Trigger Groups For A Tactical Rifle Timney 510, its good, you can adjust it yourself easily if you want. The U has a longer sear, which is sometimes neccessary, primarily with custom actions. Housing material doesn't matter really, all it does is hold the parts in alignment, doesn't...

this is getting old real quick!!!!

Re: this is getting old real quick!!!! I always wanted to try some blackpowder loads in my 45Colt maybe now is the time. The run on reloading supplies sucks, its not just components, its tools too, took a while to find a set of 9mm dies the other day, on the plus side if more people take up...

Hornady Special Seater Stem Necessary for A-Max's?

Re: Hornady Special Seater Stem Necessary for A-Max's? Perhaps they've improved the stem that comes in the dies, or maybe my dies are newer and its gotten worse, I dunno, but the OE stem pressed/cut a ring around the ogive of every target or other not round nosed bullet I seated, that alone...

Sidearms & Scatterguns 9mm for plinking

Re: 9mm for plinking Walther P99 AS, G17, G34, XD/XDm, all quality and fairly to occasionally very accurate in my experience. S&W M&P9 is supposed to be real nice too. They're all in the middle of your budget, so you'd have plenty left over for trigger jobs, or any other fine tuning or ammo...
