Should I upgrade my RCBS press?

There are several reasons for inconsistent shoulder bump. The press could be the issue especially if the shellholder is not contacting the base of the die. You can buy various thickness shellholders to remove the gap. Lube thickness on shoulder- Clean the inside of the die before you start...

Did I burn up my 6GT at a match?

I'm a little lost as well. How does more bearing surface kill a barrel faster? Friction? Pressure?

    DPMS AR-10 LR308

I had one years ago and it was reliable. 95% of what I shot in it were reloads with the 168 Amax and SMK. Pro Mags are not known for their reliability.

    Nightforce NXS 3.5-15X50mm C429 vs Leupold Mark 4 ER/T 6.5-20x50 H58 110562

Nightforce due to strength and reputation. That said, I wouldn't pay that much for an old NXS, closer to $1100.

6mm ARC loads with Temp Stable Powders

I'm hearing some good things about Vihtavouri N133 in the 6ARC. In 223, my choice was 8208XBR, but am starting to see good results with N133 as a substitute.

If you got a new Remington 700 SPS Tactical what would your first changes be?

I really liked the Remington 700 until they started cutting corners about 20 years ago. My 90s era VS and PS are both 1/2 MOA capable rifles. The 16.5" 223 SPS Tactical that I picked up about 10 years ago on clearance does what is needed, but will never be a PRS rig. Let's compare it to a...

    Norinco 1911 A1 ??

Be very careful when polishing a feedramp. Taking off too much material can ruin the critical geometry. My stock Norinco feeds ball, semiwadcutters, and several different hollowpoints without an issue, but I had to change over to the Shooting Star mags.

    Norinco 1911 A1 ??

I have two of them, and they are both reliable with a few upgrades. #1 was purchased new in the early 90s. I swapped the mags for Chip McCormick shooting stars, and put in a full length guide rod which helped with accuracy. I also swapped the hammer and sear with a drop-in kit. The original...

    White oak armament accuracy

I have what I assume is a Wilson based WOA barrel, as well as a known Wilson barrel on a R700 in 223. The WOA barrel shoots in the .7s, and the R700 will typically shoot in the .5s at 100 yards. The difference is probably me, and for an AR, that is perfectly acceptable for my uses. My...

Does anyone still use case gauges?

My experience is that the case gauge doesn't always give you the whole picture. I much prefer a dial caliper.

Strelok now banned/sanctioned in the US.

That makes sense. Some people measure further back near the middle of the scope, and I would think that the rail angle would throw off the calculator.

Strelok now banned/sanctioned in the US.

Do you measure at the scope objective?

    Metal fragments in bolt

Make sure the chamber is clean and dry before you shoot it. I have been told that gun oils and cleaners left in the chamber, can raise pressures.
