Re: Old Ammunition: Still Good to Shoot?
as others have posted, shouldn't be a problem, I'd recommend really cleaning the rifle thoroughly after shooting the old ammo. I had some vintage early '60's .308, shot fine, not quite as accurate as it could be, but certainly worth the cheap trigger...
Re: Another Leupold goes down.
Woodland dude, glad to hear that Leupold is at least attempting to correct the problems. Did you purchase the scope new and did they give an eta on the reticle fix? MIne's in a similar state.
Re: JP LRP-07
awesome rifle, very, very accurate 1/2 or better. I shot a mag through my buddies, it's very impressive. I have a jp .223 so I'm biased, but this is my next purchase. Be prepared to wait, took him 7 months.
Re: 2 Progressive Press Questions
If I could have done that, I'd be saying how I was getting a Dillon XL650 instead of a Hornady LnL AP.
As a total novice you need to get a good understanding of the single stage process step by step before you really dive into that progressive. Also...
Re: 2 Progressive Press Questions
if you could acquire a used dillon 650 for slightly less than a new 550 would you? I'm a complete novice to reloading, but a neighbor wants to sell his 650 and associated equipment for what seems like a good deal. I shoot equal amounts of pistol and rifle...
Re: Quarterback wrist band play card holder....
man, just go to a local sporting goods store in the next several weeks as peewee football starts to gear up. I've bought a 3pack for $12, they come in different sizes. Academy works in the DFW area.
My kids really want a lever action and I picked up a Henry and thought the action was decent. Has anyone shot one much, any pros/cons on the accuracy and reliability?
Re: Nightforce or Leupold
Plus 1 for contacting Premier and USO on a price discount. The NF is imho a sturdier scope for LE use than the Leupold. Unless you purchase in person, there is no tax issue, and your agency is exempt anyway.
Re: ATF waitig,waiting,waiting
I don't think anyone besides ATF can answer that, and you'd probably get different answers every time you call. My neighbor has ordered 3 over the last 12 months, first one was 14 weeks wait, he hasn't seen the the next 2 that were ordered the end of January.
Re: US National SWAT championships (sniper)
Since TJ is LE, and I'm LE, I think one aspect of his post was to point out that given the number of teams signed up and the size of the prize table, it maybe well worth it to pay your own way to the shoot. The prize table offering may offset the...
