I did - had it coated black by Presample Depot and the turnaround time was about a week. I believe Eric is quoting 2 weeks currently (and he's true to his word - he gets it done). Shoot them an email.
It's tongue-in-cheek and you'll have to go several pages back. There were several folks complaining about AI updating some features to the AT-X in how it will ship to consumers now versus when it was initially released, ergo "OG." I for one enjoy the rifle even if it doesn't have the added stuff.
More OG nastiness... received a couple of 24" Proof CF Sendero barrels from Redbeard Gunworks and dropped ~2.5 lbs. over the Proof steel barrel I was running. Have a TBAC Ultra 9 pending, so this will be around the 20 lbs. mark once all said and done.
Just like @generalzip mentioned, ARCA can wear and I'm not in any rush to wear down this forend just yet, so I just use picatinny as a plug for practice.
@MarinePMI it is the bugholes rider - a little on the heavy side, but it's a solid product.
Big fan of the Gen 1 nastiness. Drastic improvements over the AX, even without a folding stock. I was able to snag the long forend bridge and have a couple of Proof CF barrels in the mix, too - great things to come.
This rifle went from red > black > rattle-can
Thank you. It's so much fun to shoot. It's hovering around the 21 lbs. mark in its current configuration. I'm pretty eager to see how lightweight I can make this thing for some NRL Hunter matches I'd like to attend. Sub 16 lbs. is achievable, but a 16 lbs. rifle that's enjoyable to shoot is a...
ES is one of those colors that can look drastically different in various lighting settings. It will appear more green in a cooler lighting environment and more brown in a warmer environment; it's just funny how that works.
My rifle is elite sand and the barrel is dark earth - I just got whatever they had, didn't really care for color (I know that's sacrilegious around here).
