bighorn origin fire pin issue ?

Take it out of the stock and see if it does it with no action bolts stressing the action. If it does, then look to the trigger, swap it out. See which part the problem tracks with. It may be one specific part, or a specific combination of certain parts. 2lbs is the bottom of that triggers...

    Mark 4hd tracking issue

It’s not. the. freaking. ballistics. The only thing changing is the turret on the scope, the rest is the same. If at 100 yards 3.6”=1mil, he dialed 5mils=18” and got a bit more at 19”, that’s 19”/18”dialed=1.055 factor 100yards*1.055=105.5 yards where that paper would have to have been at for...

    Clickers

Watch the "does your die fit your chamber" and the "clickers" video, they sort of go hand in hand. https://www.wheeleraccuracy.com/videos I call "clickers" when the base of the brass isnt getting sized enough to fit the chamber properly and is beyond the spring back threshold so its always...

Aero Solus and Zermatt Origin stock compatibility

Chassis are designed with enough free space around to accommodate straight vs swept bolt handles etc. A carbon or fiberglass stock may well have those same clearances but it could also have been done custom and closer and so... it depends.

    Mark 4hd tracking issue

The point of impact changes based upon dialing the turret. When one dials the turret 5 mils, one expect it to go 5 mils. Not 5 and some change. He seems to be one of the few that does understand how scope tracking works. I should have known better than to step foot in the scope section

    Mark 4hd tracking issue

The opposite he tells us exactly that the scope is not tracking. How much the reticle moves has zero to do with velocity. He adjusts the turret 5 mils and instead of going 5 mils it’s going more 3.6”=1mil@100yards and 3.6x5=18” 19”/3.6=5.278 37-37.5/3.6”=10.27-10.42 And if those all stay...

    Mark 4hd tracking issue

He’s telling yall that it’s not tracking. A chronograph has nothing to do with it. OP, trust your tracking test provided it’s actually at 100 yards. You can push it off like that but you’ve observed it at various points now.

    Coating after AW Cut

They werent initially, you could choose which. They have since defaulted to all aw the last few years since it accommodates both.

    Coating after AW Cut

Id just sharpie or spray paint it and call it good. When you have it out of the stock once or twice a year give it a little oil wipe, it should be fine. Its not visible and its not a critical area.

    Glock .22 G44...?

My dad won one in a raffle, with the dead air mask on the barrel it’s a hoot. No, it’s not “great” and feels daily cheap but it’s a nice little gun that hasn’t really misfed that I can think of. Kids (me) really like just plinking at cans 10 yards away. Won’t win any accuracy contests or steel...

Why am I piercing primers on this 6.5AR?

But the large firing pin is the issue, changing it out to a hp bolt with associated firing pin will lessen the distance the thin primer material must hold its self up to the pressure. The issue is your large pin bolt is too wide to support the small rifle primer pressure. Or change to LRP brass...

    Triebel Dies Question

If it leaves a mark just polish the sharp edge down If the tip bottoms out before the ogive contacts due to the bullet being longer than the stem was designed to accommodate: jb weld fill it in and make it a custom stem with a lubed bullet to make the form in the seating stem. Here you can...

    Question on bullet seating.

Are you using 223 components that are of equivalent quality as the dasher brass? The answer will 95% be “no.” Crap components, that much of 223 is, won’t ever shoot well. Get lapua brass, anneal it, mandrel it, develop a good load and you should be able to get it below 10. An sd below 10 on a...

    Reloading for shorter barrels?

I think it’s more likely that you misinterpreted what I was trying to say than that you think a shorter barrel can lead to higher velocity. But please, share how it works.

    Reloading for shorter barrels?

2550 with H4350 in a 16" isnt too low. You wont ever get a 140 going that fast in a short barrel with out spiking pressures. Varget with a 123, sure. Varget with a heavier 140 is not going to suddenly make more speed just because the bullets ability to accelerate is stopped sooner in a short...

    Reloading for shorter barrels?

Your 16" 2550 velocities is about what I was getting with my 18". I could get 2700 but I was trashing peterson brass in just a handful of firings. Shot fine as an 8 twist with 140s, no tumbling etc that I could tell. Yeah its known more wind to account for and hold but thats just the nature of...
