    Absolutely He said he loaded up 30RDS to try at a certain charge. Hell he might be running some stupid high numbers at that charge.I had somebody tell me to try 44GRS of varget with a 175SMK in a 24 inch 308 barrel. I did and it shot great but was running 2850FPS and flattening primers.

    Clean the barrel real good and remeasure. If it still comes up that short send it back to Ruger. If the freebore is that short I am surprised you could close the bolt on the factory ammo.

    It's 3 times fired brass. Seating at 2.800 right now because of trying to do load work up. But that's only 40 thou off with this chamber.
