    Hunting bullet reloads

I have what is probably a basic question, so please don't beat the hell outta me for it! I read where everyone loads for the longer shots and by the time the bullet gets out there and it has slowed some, the expansion is close to optimum for whatever bullet they are using. I reload for my...

Hunting & Fishing Three bears down!

Re: Three bears down! That is absolutely awesome! Man I am so jealous. I keep hoping the black bear population booms in E Tx so maybe I can get a crack at one! Off topic - What pack/vest is that in the back of the truck with the bears?

Hunting & Fishing Early season whitetail attractants??

Re: Early season whitetail attractants?? Corn, Peanut Butter and Alfalfa. The deer are accustomed to corn and it will draw them in, then they find the PB and when they get used to the Alfalfa, they will check your feeder before others becasue you put out desert as well.

    Maggie’s I believe,...

Re: I believe,... When we hung people for stealing horses, parents could whip their kids, and slavery was legal - we didn't have overcrowded prisons. Married men live longer, but are more willing to die.

Hunting & Fishing Honest Opinion: Berger and Barnes bullet

Re: Honest Opinion: Berger and Barnes bullet I cannot comment on the Bergers. The TSX for .223 has lifted a veil on what is/was thought of and referred to as a marginal caliber for deer. The bullets hold together and do not explode as most smaller .223 bullets do. If you do not hit...

Hunting & Fishing future duck dog!

Re: future duck dog! Don't use food to train, praise only. Food makes the bowels work, praise makes the brain work. I have trained many a retriever for hunters and hunt test enthusiasts alike. Not a pro by any means, but I just sold my personal business of breeding and training labradors...

    First AR 15 Advice

Re: First AR 15 Advice If it is your first and you will buy it built, something else to consider is service. I have a RRA and it is a 1/2 MOA gun from a vise when testing new loads. With me shooting it, it's 1 - 1.5 MOA depending on distance, I'm not commando worthy! One month before deer...

    Loads for .223 Barnes TSX

Re: Loads for .223 Barnes TSX My 223 is an AR so everything I do is loaded to mag length. I load the 62gr TSX on top of 25Gr RL15, Win brass, CCI #41 primers. I have not chrono'd this load as my hunting distances are 150 yd max, but I am figuring ~2800 fps from my 16" 1/9 twist RRA. This...
