Rifle Scopes US Optics Scopes, worth the wait

Re: US Optics Scopes, worth the wait I purchased a rifle with a 3.2-17 USO on it about a year ago. My plan was to sell the scope to help pay for the rifle. I was so impressed with the scope that I kept it. I have since started my own little us optic collection. These scopes are addictive. I...

Looking to get an atlas bipod for my sako trg

Re: Looking to get an atlas bipod for my sako trg Uracowman, Have you had an opportunity to shoot off of a factory TRG bipod? I just purchased a trg-22 that came with the older style wide stance bipod and have to admit that it feels great. They are expensive though.

    Best .308 for under $3500?

Re: Best .308 for under $3500? I have the Blaser lrs2 308, sako trg22, and an accurized rem700 in an AICS 1.5 chassis. The trg hands down wins it for me. It is lite like the Blaser, but with the rock solid feel of the 17 lb Remington. With that said, all three are great.

    .308 168 grain ammo

Re: .308 168 grain ammo I have always had great success with 168 gr federal gold medal match. Less than $20/box if you look around. I don't know how they make such consistent ammunition, but I have seen many rifles shoot one hole groups with it

    American Guns-WTF

Re: American Guns-WTF Great shows! The only thing that I dont understand is how they can create something that has never been done before, but has actually been done before. Unless the flip out flashlight/pistol was actually red jackets idea

.260 at 2.8" OAL Which bullets?

Re: .260 at 2.8" OAL Which bullets? I found the 142 smk to be more accurate out if my bolt rifle, but I love the flexibility of the Amax for price and hunting potential.

Neck Sizing.....Bushing Dies vs Collet Dies

Re: Neck Sizing.....Bushing Dies vs Collet Dies I started reloading using a full length RCBS sizing die. The amount of force required on the downstroke let's you know that you must be working the brass. Some bullets would feel tighter than others during the seating process. Recently, I have...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Laser on pistol? Thoughs

Re: Laser on pistol? Thoughs I agree with the advantage of having a spotter observe you during dry fire practice. I have used several lasers outdoors and I have to go against all that is natural to me in order to use the laser. In stead of focusing on the sight picture and target, I am trying...

    Son's first rifle.

Re: Son's first rifle. Your grandson is lucky. My grandfather started me off with a Remington 870!special purpose magnum 12 ga when I was five. The logic was that the .22 can kill miles away and the birdshot will only kill what you can see. I did not grow into that shotgun until 10 years...

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce

Re: Nightforce I use a 17x optic at 1000 yards on a regular basis. 15x should cover a broad range for a 308. I prefer the nightforce NP-R1 for wind holds over the 5 moa hashes on the NP-R2
