AI on MPA chassis chambered in 6 Dasher

I already have the AX, but do agree that an AT would make more sense. The pricing is a bit different up here in Canada.

AI on MPA chassis chambered in 6 Dasher

Slightly off topic but how hard would it be to rebond a AI barreled action back into the chassis. I occasionally get the crazy idea my AX would be nice in a MPA.

    New Defiance Elite Action

I just put a deposit down on one. For all the features they have it is a good value (up in Canada at least). It will be quite the departure for me as I have been using an AI AX exclusively for awhile.

Accuracy International AI AX Barrel Specs

I have one of Robert's barrels and it is fantastic. By the time they get into Canada they are certainly not cheap anymore but still worth it.

    JC Steel Tac Table!!

I run matches in Canada and they are designed to find the best shooter. The stages are designed so that maybe the shooter with all the stuff will have an edge but maybe not. The shooter who practices under all sorts of conditions will win. I do restrict some stages but not all, I feel that it...

    JC Steel Tac Table!!

Blanket equipment bans are very uncreative and slow the advancement of our sport. The MPA chassis would have been seen as super gimicky a few years ago same with the Gamechanger bags. If a guy shows up to a match with 10 bags but knows how to use them I think he should be allowed to run them.

    JC Steel Tac Table!!

Just bought one myself, I think it is just another tool in the bag when you if can use it properly. It does seem kind of "gamey" but it is the job of the match director to make shooters use a whole bunch of skill sets during the match. If a match was set up where a guy could use this the whole...

2 stage trigger similar to AI

I am sure you can adjust the CG extreme but the one I had was different fron my AX. They have their one that goes on the Socom rifle that might be different. It is a great trigger either way. I currently have my Timney 2 stage with the weight cranked up and as much over travel as I can give it...

    Lets talk chamber flags.

I think those "chamber chillers" or whatever they are called are a good idea. However, for the life me I can't figure out why they are not shaped like a horn (fan at the large end tapering down to fit inside the bore). Currently the fans look small and the airflow has to make a 90 degree turn.

    Moving Targets?

There is an interesting product out there available from a place called Blinktroll. It is from Norway and has lots of cool features. Downside it is about $5,000 last time I inquired. I would actually ask around at the club for any guys who may be engineers or something similar. I contacted a...

    PRS Talk Offhand stages

Thanks for the feeback! You are very much correct that they are not very fun. I run some small club type matches in Canada with a couple of other guys (20-60 shooters, one day event type deals) and I am always looking for ways to screw with the competitors. I think the targets would have to be...

    PRS Talk Offhand stages

What would the hit % be on a 2MOA? It seems like a lot of matches have the prone/modified prone stages pushing the 1.5/2 MOA range. I can imagine most shooters getting zeroes on a 8" plate at 200. I will try that next time I am at the range though.

    PRS Talk Offhand stages

Trying to get a general idea of the sizes of targets and distances involved in offhand (standing/kneeling/sitting) stages that have been seen in matches. Thanks for any info.

Cheating at Local NWPRL match and the consequences

Up in Canada we do not have the ability to get people to RO and score all day at our events so everything is done by the people on the squad, it has worked well so far. We have squad leaders (the match organizers for the most part - we shoot but our scores are only used to brag to the other...

Help me diagnose symptoms with my AT

I think a little while back there was another thread on here where a guy had an out of spec extractor on his AI. It seems odd that it would start failing all of a sudden though. Why don't you throw the 308 barrel back on and see if it works with that? What kind of speeds are you getting out of...

Wiebad Fortune Cookie Bag vs Gamechanger

I have an original gamechanger and had someone sew some gripteck onto the top and the saddle portion of the bag. It looks very similar to the Gecko II recommended farther up.

    AI AWSM barrel tennon

Haha, we only have one smith in Canada that does our AI barrels, I am lucky he is a big fan of the 300NM. Special order prefit I guess.

    AI AWSM barrel tennon

That all sounds good. Ordering a prefit AT barrel ia much better than spending $200 in shipping in each direction.

    Awesome! Thanks!

    AI AWSM barrel tennon

A question for the AI experts. I want to change my AWSM in 338 to 300NM. Does the AWSM have the same tennon as the AXMC or the AT/AX family (or something else altogether)? Thanks!
