Acra Rail On This Bushmaster Help

That handguard isn't MLOK compatible. You can get a JP Enterprises ARCA rail that's rounded and then drill holes into the bottom of the tube to help mount it. You could also get a new free float rail that has the ARCA dovetails machined into it already or you could go with a FF MLOK rail and...

If Overton Windex made a movie

The movie is dumber than that. Willis' team does get extracted but on the way back they fly over a village and see everyone has been slaughtered. He gets all up in his feels about it, tells the pilot to turn back around like it's Uber, and they get dropped off at their exfil point. Turns out...

    Gear - First Road Match

Speaking of shooting in the summer, the prevailing instinct is to try to stay cool but wearing shorts and a t-shirt but in my experience it's actually better to wear lightweight long sleeve shirts and pants and steering clear of anything cotton. I've seen guys get lobstered pretty good on the...

    Gear - First Road Match

You know I think that's actually important to remember. It's not hard to forget to eat something when you're baking out in the sun, prepping for a stage, or shootin' the shit, then before you know it you're hangry and making mistakes. I've been to matches where they'll provide a lunch and...

    Gear - First Road Match

When I was traveling for matches I took basically the same stuff as far as gear goes, maybe only throwing in a cooler and extra clothes of course. Misery is a good teacher, I will take extra shoes or boots and extra snivel gear because there's room for it and why suffer if you don't have to...

Gunsmithing Recommended gunsmith in VA to re-barrel match rifle

I don't think Clay Spencer is building rifles anymore. I think WAR Rifles is still in business, there's also Sterling Arsenal in, well, Sterling, VA.

    100 Best Gun Blogs

LOL I've written for four of the ones on that list, GunsAmerica, Springfield Armory, FMG Pubs, and Accurate Shooter and experiences varied. I haven't written anything in a while because nothing was really interesting to me anymore, but a lot of the stuff out there is contrived and repetitive...

    You Can't Make This Up.

In basic we got to experience the wrath and fury of a DS almost merc two privates because they thought it'd be fun to sneak into another platoon's patrol base and take their rifles. These two geniuses didn't want to get caught with some extra guns though so they propped them against a tree, in...

Badger scope base: loctite on bottom?

I don't recall seeing dowel pin holes in mine but I bedded it about 18 years ago so it's possible they are there and got filled in. The "notch" is the recoil lug that contacts the front of the ejection port. I bedded the rail on my Bergara with JP Weld.

    AR Positional POI Shift Test

My unscientific poi shift test results with the SPRecce. 16" WOA, Vltor MUR1a, MI NF 13.5" rail. About .1 mil difference but I can't say thats not totally me, I need to work on it for sure.

Badger scope base: loctite on bottom?

Yeah, it's not hard to remove a base that has had a light coat of red on the bottom of it. Steel or aluminum, epoxy permanently adheres to the bottom of the scope base but you put a release agent on the action so that it doesn't stick to the action itself. I don't know what you're...

Badger scope base: loctite on bottom?

Factory receivers usually aren't perfect and when the base is torqued down it can actually flex, so a lot of end users bed the scope base with an epoxy, which is one reason you probably don't see loctite getting used much. I've used red loctite in the past and I was still able to take the base...

    Ranger Wrap mount question

They mention this in the product info... Please note: Wrap must be user trimmed for use of flip caps and for variations in scope mounting positions.
