    If a hens nest gets broke up early,( by predators, storms or hay mowers, ) they will try to reset.......this leads to the strutting observed in early summer............I have not been lucky enough to find the late nest but I have witness the late breeding activities........Hope this helped.........

    Re: Finishing Striped Walnut Thanks for the suggestions...I had to fill a couple of knots I used epoxy.....I mixed ome fine walnut dust in will this cause a problem with using tung or linseed? ltfirehunter.....there is some lightstripe visible I am wanting to make them stand out a little...
