NRL22 vs. PRS Rimfire vs ???

I wouldn't compete either if typical match fees were $100. Good thing they are in the $20-35 range.

    Fast Twist- where are we?

I'm curious as to why people are not trying 15 or 14 twist. Maybe they are and aren't talking? I've played with stability calculators and the typical 16 twist is provides a stability factor in the 1.3 - 1.4 range where the accepted minimum stability factor is 1.5. Just going to a 15 twist...

whats the deal with arken optics?

And now for something completely different......... Finally got to look through and fondle a SH4 today after a match. I was pleasantly surprised. Reticle was better than what I was expecting from the pictures/diagrams. The owner ended up 2nd I believe, so apparently it works well enough.

    First Mars Comp..... Any advice?

I got some yellow painters tape at the local Lowe's. Yep, much easier to see than the blue stuff.

    DeLane Development Group Rimfire Ventures

That's funny. If the other three ingredients minimums add up to 20.5%, then the water content can only be a max of 79.5. But still that's a lot of water to pay a premium for.

    First Mars Comp..... Any advice?

Either bring a set of binos, or look through someone's while another competitor is shooting to see what the targets look like through optics. There will probably be several sets of binos on tripods in any given squad. I found this super helpful.

I zero'd a KYL at a match yesterday....... Was super disappointing but I can't complain. I knew the rules of the game going in.

Pilgrim's Progress - Shooting Standing Offhand at 42m

AAA is badass, good job. I'm still a low AA shooter, but ever so slowly improving.

Kraft Data Driven Training: Try This

I've just started doing my own version of the Kraft drill in the last couple of weeks. Quite enlightening, and it definitely helped at today's match.

Pilgrim's Progress - Shooting Standing Offhand at 42m

Rimfirecentral has a long running offhand challenge match that uses the NRA A-23 targets. 50 shots at 25 yards, or 25 @ 50. scoped or irons. The black of the A-23 is just under 4". https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/offhand-rifle-match.327/

Velocity of SK pistol match and pistol match special out of rifle length barrels

Supposedly pistol match is from the same family as Std + and Rifle match. Which run about 1050 in my rifles. Likewise for PMS. It's part of the Biathlon Sport and Long Range Match family. Biathlon runs about 1080 in my rifles. But, I've never used either PM or PMS, so no first hand...

    What BC for 22LR

RA4 is the rimfire specific drag curve. Similar to, but not the same as G1. I generally run .12-.13 RA4 BC for SK, Lapua and RWS round nose bullets.

    Need scope recommendations 15-25yd precision

Most, but not all, Athlons will focus down to roughly 10 meters. Some will go closer, some don't quite get there. I have zero experience with their cheapest line, Neos, as I avoid the cheapest of any manufacturer's lines. But the Talos, Argos and Midas lines are worth the price paid.

Agree, wish someone would make an easily available 2 stage. Timney? TT? Please.....

CZ 457 Varmint Owners (not MTR)

CZ 457 Varmint Owners (not MTR)

That's the euro website. If you are in the US, then the at one does not have a match chamber. the US website: https://cz-usa.com/product/cz-457-varmint-at-one/

    11mm Dovetail scope rings

If you don't need any cant or slope in the scope, BKL's are the best. If you need some cant, then Sportsmatch single adjustables are excellent. I just don't get the idea of the pic adapter rails. Maybe if one was sharing a scope from a centerfire that has pic mounts. But if you are running a...
