Rifle Scopes Arken SH4 Gen2 6-24x50 VPR MIL

I didn't ask "why Nitrogen"? I asked "why would those be nitrogen ports"? I'd bet a case of Mountain Dew they are not.

Rifle Scopes Arken SH4 Gen2 6-24x50 VPR MIL

I'm aware of the purpose of the Ni or Ar gasses in the scope. They aren't pressurized like a car tire, and don't need a "fill port".

Rifle Scopes Arken SH4 Gen2 6-24x50 VPR MIL

Why would those be nitrogen ports? I've seen this on other forums. Just curious. My guess as to the function of the angled cap is the erector tube spring.

    Strelok Pro question

Thanks. I have no frame of reference whatsoever for movers. The MD said it was 4mph, and it appeared close enough (about a fast walk) I didn't question or time it. I just went with what the other guys were saying for lead, and I got lucky and made far more hits than I was expecting. For...

    Strelok Pro question

Anybody use the mover feature? We had a mover last weekend (22lr match), and I just used what others were using (~0.6mil) and got several hits. Then I plugged 125 yards and 4mph into the app and it says 6 mils, not 0.6 mils. Sumthin ain't right.......

    Vudoo Trigger - Two Stage?

Two stage triggers are extremely valuable in unstable positions, especially offhand. The shooter can take up the first stage and know exactly how much more pressure is needed to break the shot when the aim is right during the wobble. I also agree that for shooting from extremely stable...

    CZ 457

    I wonder why there isn't a B14R sticky thread...........Like this 457 thread is. Hmm.

    CZ 457

Hmm. Obviously I had to use a little force, but it wasn't hard. Couple things I can think of. I have real lead solder. Not the lead free stuff. Lead is softer. It's also rosin core, not solid.

    CZ 457

I just took a short piece of 0.062 rosin core solder, formed it into a "U" the same diameter of the rim of a cartridge, stuck it to the bolt with grease, closed the bolt. The outer edge of solder will get smashed and become the thickness of the headspace. Measure carefully with calipers...

    CZ 457

FWIW, both of my CZ's measured 0.046 via the "smashed solder" method.

    CZ 457

I don't doubt it. It gets rave reviews. I didn't see a price on his site, I probably missed it. Are they $200 like the 455 2 stage?

    CZ 457

Mine was the same way. I could remove the set screw and it was still just under 3 lbs. Really easy to remove the pivot pin. People say they can use brute force and pound it out, but if you grind a bit of the peen off one side, it comes out easy. Remove stock spring, replace with one of...

    CZ 457

And there's a 6 month wait. Of course it would take timney or tt that long or more to do a 2 stage, so I might as well get on the wait list.......

    CZ 457

It's really easy to mod a 457 trigger to go light. But if timney, or better yet triggertech, would make a two stage, I'd be all over that in an instant.

    Magneto speed sporter for 22?

I've used my sporter on airguns with the sensitivity maxed out and the bayonet as close as possible. works fine down to ~600 fps with lil tiny .177 pellets. It doesn't like speeds below that at all. Dumb story........I got the bayonet a bit too close on 22LR once, and the bullets were...

    Rifle Scopes Athlon Optics....Hmmm...

Yep, it's a ring with a post sticking out of it. How much different can they get? Who made the first throw lever? That person is the one that get to complain.

    Magneto speed sporter for 22?

    CZ 457 Build complete

Yes, 3mm nylock nuts exist. It's what I used on the shoulder bolt ($5) so I don't have to chase flying e clips. Very likely what is on your RC heli's. I fly those diabolical contraptions also.

    CZ 457 Build complete

McMaster also has 3mm shoulder bolts in the correct length to replace the trigger pin. 91273A325. It needs a 3mm nut also. The stock on my 457 had to be relieved a bit to clear the nut side.
