    use 18" 7mm-08 ar10 generally shoot 139gr some 150g. My chamber likes 3031 / faster burning powders. I can't use 160g higer bc bullets without dropping alot of pressure dealing OAL. I don't think my throat has moved 1k+ rounds my velocity is around 2600fps ( slower barrel 6 groove x-caliber)...

    For me 2000 yards + 338 300gr would be better impacts on rock and dirt than 30 cal. Desert dry type of conditions spot 30 cal way further

    338 edge info.

    I like to anneal first 338 die bump the shoulder then I expander die for neck tension. I run +P throated Remington brass 3000 fps 285-300gr using h1000 , retumbo, rl33 brass only last 3 firings primer pockets gone. Standard 338 edge sure the brass will hold up longer than my setup. Also...
