    I wouldn't suggest it - you have to turn the necks and remove material in order to have a decent result. Sell your 308 brass and pick up some 260 instead.

    260 Rem Load Worries

    Different bullets have different shapes and that drives different internal ballistics. Nosler 140 partitions have a longer bearing surface than 140 amax and 142 smk. They are also not boat tails so that reduces case volume when seated to the same depth as the amax or smk.

    Someone is misinterpreting owning an NFA item and being an FFL/SOT where the ATF can inspect your shop. Obviously completely different things.

    The V2 and V3 bayos are designed to accommodate suppressors. They have a set of shims you use to set the proper offset from your bore. The V2 and V3 bayos also have a larger gap to accommodate larger muzzle devices.

    260 Rem Load Worries

    I think I'm getting loose primer pockets in my 43gr 4350 load, 140 amax, lapua brass, 210m primers. Prep your fired brass and see if seating a primer is much easier than previously. I see a noticeable difference in virgin brass or my other load of 41.5gr and the 43gr load. Vinson

    Gen 2 will fit a gen 1, but not vice versa. I run a gen 2 260 in my gen 1 SRS and index it visually using the flutes and handguard. I've seen .1 mil return to zero and bughole 5 shot groups.

    Can't help you with a test fire, but I can say that I've shot at 925 y with my SAC 260 barrel and dropped in my 338 lapua barrel, dialed its 925 dope with my known offset from 260 zero and had 5/5 on steel. Putting my 260 barrel in has had me back within 0.1 mils of zero several times.
