Sidearms & Scatterguns Carry knife preferences

Here in the UK we have certain restrictions on whats allowed and under what circumstances. For my EDC 'legal' carry i.e. I can carry legally without 'good reason' I use the Spyderco UKPK or the Boker XS. For everyday cutting tasks these blades don't give up anything despite their size. However...

    No more motorcycles for me

Sold two of my sports bikes last year, just have the Triumph Daytona now. The weather was great in England this last weekend and there were loads out. I need to sell my last one and give it up but I'll probably end up having a couple more rides out. Being in mountain rescue I've lots of mates...

don't let the door hit you in the ass d-bag

I watched that live and I can tell you Brett Lee did not hang back and was absolutely bowling a nasty line into the ribs. It was actually quite a distasteful bit of broadcasting with Peirs proving nothing although I'm sure he thought different. We don't want him back here, to put it politely...

Does such a factory rifle exist?

Rem 700 SPS Tactical but you'll need to swap the stock out for something a little better than the Hogue it comes with. I have mine in an XLR stock and shoot the 69gr SMK's.

    50 Cal? INSANE?

They really aren't that bad when your shooting them, it's when your off to the side you tend to take a beating. Besides, the blast and concussion is all part of the attraction as far as I'm concerned :) I've been next to one with a suppressor on and the reduction in noise and blast is...

Anyone has Manner T4 with Karsten's cheek piece?

I've fitted one to a T5, really straight forward and does a good job.

    50 Cal? INSANE?

Suppressors on .50's work extremely well, I keep meaning to get one for mine. I love shooting mine, I just managed to pick up a case of M33 tracer which will keep me going for a bit. Also getting extremely good accuracy from match ammo too.

Case Prep and Seating for Preventing Runout

If you're get ting vertical lines from the collet try a little case lube. I set my collet dies up so that the ram fully reaches the top of its stroke. I use a Forster co-ax and this way is 100% repeatable.

Quick question for .260 shooters...1000+ yds

I've a AI AX and a custom T3 both with 8.5 twist 26" long barrels. Both excellent long range performers. The T3 really likes the old 140 SMK's which have a crap BC compared to the other 140 class bullets - I've shot it out to 1300 no problems.

RCBS Primer Pocket Swager Combo 2

Never had a problem with the RCBS, in fact I've used it to tighten loose primer pockets back up. Good piece of kit.

    Searching for CCI BR2 primers

There's plenty over here in the uk but that's because they're now running at $100 / 1000... Absolute rip off but they've got you by the short and curly's...

Any new information on the AI AT rifles?

Saw these last week at the British Shooting Show and spent some time chatting with AI. In a nut shell the AT's are an improved AW at a better price point. You need not worry about the quality....

    VV N160 Load advice

I use N160 in both my .260's and have used it in .243. Very good and consistent powder. Costs around $100 for 2.2lbs over here, very nice score...!

    VV N160 Load advice

N160 runs very close to H4350 and really is too fast for .338, N165 is really what you need for the 250's.

Alliant Reloader 15 Scarece - Other Options for both .223 AND .308

Viht N140 is an excellent substitute for Varget and RE15 and works well for .223 heavies and .308 up to around 168 / 175 weights.

    RCBS 3 way carbide cutter?

No comment on that last line! :D Well following some of the suggestions on this thread I've relooked at the TrimPro. There's nothing wrong with the shell plates and the conclusion is I unfortunately seem to have a bad one as the cutter shaft has runout. To exacerbate this even further the 3 way...

    Which annealer do you have?

I've got the Benchsource and very happy with it, very easy to do small batches. I'm running 400g propane tanks and after about 1000 pieces annealed so far on them they don't appear to have used much at all.

    RCBS 3 way carbide cutter?

The pilots in mine actually score the inside of my case necks very badly, I must have a misaligned cutter bearing perhaps. I even tried polishing the pilots but it had zero effect. Given up on the RCBS completely including the 3 way cutters and totally moved over to LE Wilson products. Anyone...
