SAC "The seating die" horrible runout

Well put and to the point. My apologies on the 30% rant, but I guess your right, people will take advantage if given the chance so I can see now why you would do the restocking fee. I still might give one of these dies a try in the future. Thanks for chiming in Mark.

SAC "The seating die" horrible runout

Which would be complete bullshit by the way, just another way to reach into another man's pocket. Glad I didn't get in on this pre order deal they had going, because I almost pulled the trigger on one of the 223 dies myself.

Dillon RL1100 or Mark 7 Apex

Actually I'm depriming on a Lee APP with dillon case feeder first, then wet tumble. So I'm actually just sizing, swaging, charging, dropping bullets, seat and crimp. I think most of my shavings are coming from running my brass dry without any lanolin because I am using a Gold TNT mighty armory...

Thank you sir, looking into it now.

Dillon RL1100 or Mark 7 Apex

Hey Choid, I have a question. What harm do you think removing the Dillon hold down die and replacing it with say a mighty armory expander die would do? I would think the 9mm expander would support the case enough for the swaging and expand at the same time so as to do less expansion on the...

Dillon RL1100 or Mark 7 Apex

That's good information to know, thanks Choid.. Like I said, another press solely dedicated to 223 is in my future so this will help. I do seem to get alot of brass chavings though that seem to be coming from my Dillon F die/ hold down die which is a little annoying.

Dillon RL1100 or Mark 7 Apex

I will say that on my Dillon RL1100 I do not have any powder spillage when running 9mm, my xl750 did this and I hated it. I only run 9mm at the moment though as I'm debating a whole new machine just for 223 so I can leave shit alone. Not sure what difference there is between the 1050 and 1100...

.223 neck tension; what am I doing soooo wrong? (RESOLVED, READ ORIGINAL POST)

No problem, im just glad you got it sorted out with a good replacement projectile.. It sucks getting stuck in a rut like that, it just destroys the whole mood. Lol

.223 neck tension; what am I doing soooo wrong? (RESOLVED, READ ORIGINAL POST)

I honestly think just to rule it out, you need to try another sizing die, without doing any extra steps to your brass other than the bare minimum it takes to make a loaded round and see how your seating goes.. Maybe something crazy going on with the case neck portion of your die where its out of...

Leupold Mark 5HD Owners - Question

My bad, I thought you received it unsealed. At any rate, enjoy your long ass wait for leupold to get you squared away. Seems like it took me like 8 to 12 weeks to get my replacement sent out. Good luck...

My one and only set has held up so far but that doesn't mean anything.. I only got these because they came basically free with the optic with the code, but I'm generally a hard core ARC M10 rings man...

Leupold Mark 5HD Owners - Question

Correct sir.. I did not mean a clam shell plastic, like a Trashco comes in from Wally World, I guess shrink wrap would have been a better way of wording it..

Edited, my mis wording on the plastic may have caused some confusion.

Leupold Mark 5HD Owners - Question

You tell me, but if your trying to insinuate I am telling tall tales, I purchased it from a very reliable vendor here which I have purchased a few top end optics from. Both of the optics had plastic on the boxes that I received.

Leupold Mark 5HD Owners - Question

To be fair, the second box he received was indeed opened, no plastic blister pack so either they repaired or gave him a used scope in return. I know when my MK5 had issues, it took Leupold forever to come to a conclusion and they did not like the idea of sending me a new optic as replacement...
