    Re: .308 Reamer Question cwood3 I also shoot BR. mostly Hunter Class, But my reamer for my tactical is from Kiff (PTG) for Lapua brass with .057 free bore. with .010 jam on a 175 mk. you get a col. of about 2.79... leaves some room for throat to wear and still fit bdl. mags.

    Re: Lathe and mill suggestions I have the 13x40 Birmingham same as Jet.. 1 7/16 through hole and the head is short enough that you can chamber barrels down to about 20" long through. the headstock..That is a big plus.

    Re: Neck sizing oncefired brass from another rifle? Myself I would just start fresh and resize all, who knows what the brass has been through , was it factory or hand loads, was he trying different loads , powders, and bullets? All makes a difference on brass.

    Re: Length of shoulder is growing??? Yes, what RJ said get a bump guage, Set your die .040 or so off the shell holder, size your case and measure, keep moving your die down and sizing as you go until you finally bump the shoulder .001 to .0015 back and thats it..

    Re: Powder choice for a full case? Im shooting 175 smk. with 44.gr. of IMR 4895, a slight compressed load. I always found a compressed load or base of bullet resting on the powder will shoot a bit tighter.
