    Re: A couple questions with base and rings. burris xtr rings Swfa ss rings (were out of stock a couple weeks ago) are a little cheaper than the burris and similar quality. Mil/mil Bushnell 10x40 is a midwayusa exclusive scope.

    Re: WTK-Paint Removal on B&L Elite I've used citristrip (orange paste stuff from Walmart) and elbow grease. Tooth brush and old cotton T-shirt. If used to long one place it took some of the gold lettering off a Nikon monarch but overall it worked well and didn't damage the matte black finish.

    Re: Illumination, Full or Partial? Entire reticle dimly so you can accurately use hold overs. I only use illumination in low light. Then each situation is different, in close quarters just a center dot would be better.

    Re: Streamlight TLR-1 Switch Question Just happen to have one in front of me to look at. Your bottom pic would be the on position. It should click and stay that way. Your top pic is a temporary on position and the switch should spring back to the off (middle pic) position. You do have a problem.

    Re: SWFA 3-9x42 accurate at 500 yards? What you have will work. If you want more magnification in your price range go with the vortex mentioned earlier or the weaver 3-15 emdr.

    Re: Bipod placement if you have a swivel model. loosen the swivel so that it's tight but you can still tilt the rifle and leave it.
